Quiet and clean, great staff, Martha was great

Mattress was nearing end of life, shower was not consistant

The property is in a lovely location (car needed if going anywhere but Garakas beach and restaurants). The villa is roomy and has blackout shutters and aircon in the bedrooms. The staff were lovely and the shared pool is nice.

The kitchen lacked equipment to properly cater for yourself (not even a spatula for eggs). The freezer was just a small box in the top of the fridge (different from the photos) and there is no cupboard space to store food. The main double bed is small and not particularly comfortable. The pool furniture is low quality and in poor condition. I consider the villa overpriced for the quality.

We went in late May and it was so peaceful and quiet, a really wonderful and relaxing escape, which is just what we were hoping for. It is just a lovely five minute walk to Gerakas beach and Porto Roma and the local tavernas serve excellent food. As we were early in the season we had the shared pool to ourselves which was an amazing bonus. The house and grounds are beautiful and the local environment is stunning. Martha was so kind and helpful. Highly recommend hiring a car so that you can get out and about to explore this beautiful island. The roads are actually pretty easy to navigate.

beds were too hard, the walk from villa to pool …had to wear shoes as ground very prickly, why no path or stepping stones?.There wasn’t a washing machine as advertised. The wall lights by both bedroom dressing tables didn’t work!.downstairs shower had no upper bracket so could only be “hand held”. The sink in the kitchen had no hot water coming through the taps so we had to heat the kettle!.

Nothing really

The location is more than ideal if you do not like the crowds as the property is in the southeast tip of the island surrounded by old olive trees. Two beautiful beaches are within a couple of minutes’ walk (Gerakas, Porto Roma) and some tavernas (restaurants) and grocery stores. However, I would really recommend renting a car for a couple of days at least! If you do not like walking at all the stores and tavernas can be a bit far - especially if we take the high temperature into account. And of course you can go and explore this beautiful island on your own too:) The villa (three-bedroom version) was well equipped with everything we could think of - and was very clean. In each bedroom we had ACs. The whole area of the villas was well maintained - the shared pool was awesome, we loved it:) Our host, Martha was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She helped us whatever question we had. Big shout out to her because of her flexibility and kindness on our departure day!:) If we come back to Zakynthos some day in the future, we will definitely choose to stay here again.
