El Ben Cabañas

Resort was beautiful, staff was wonderful and accommodating. We were hesitant about staying on the North side of The Split but worked out great. There were no resorts or hotels that compared to El Ben on the South side and between the El Ben boat and the rides to The Split, it ended up being no problem to be on the North. Plus it's much quieter. Highly recommend!

We did not get into our room until 1 am. We had left to go to across the split to enjoy the island while our room was being ready and didn't return in time to get in. This was partially our fault but the lady was very disgruntled letting us in at this hour and even commented that I must still be feeling "high and drunk" from the night before, very unprofessional and unacceptable. The location was not handy as it was across the water and the mode to get back was cumbersome. I recommend somewhere else.

First off, El Ben was fantastic and would or will stay again! The top thing was the excellent staff. (Johannes, Zion, Melvin, Freddy, Keith, Mike, Magdaleno and more who I’m surely skipping) So friendly and helpful! Food was great with enough choices and decent prices for the quality (chef was just booked for a wedding at another site because people loved his food). Easy free boat access across the split. Minor improvements that could make it better: make sure guests know to drink the bottled water instead of tap, add a few rolling umbrellas to the pools, and switching to refillable large soap/shampoo containers mounted in the shower might make it easier and eco-friendly. Again these are just improvements and not complaints, because we don’t have any complaints! North Side is great if you like peace and quiet for sleeping and relaxing but you are 5 minutes or less from the busier South Side when you want it.

Staff is very helpful and pleasant. Boat available many times throughout day to go back and forth across spliit. Cabanas are nice thougg given construction expect to hear neighbours some if you are in a duble sided cabana. Restaurant was good.

I love, love, love this place. The staff was outstanding and once you get the hang of the boat schedule to the other side it’s smooth sailing. If you are not good at figuring out the schedule for the boat, the staff will take you on a golf cart to The Split to catch a ferry. It’s not too far either and we walked several times. Just give them a little notice. My only issue with the place was that the bathroom is open to the room on top. We would like a little more privacy in that area.

Absolutely wonderful experience and exceptional facilities! It’s secluded, quiet, beautiful, clean and safe. Special shout out to the incredibly kind and supportive staff who really make this place a whole other level. I’m so grateful to all of them for making our stay so convenient and comfortable!

This property is beautiful! We enjoyed the quiet mornings, watching the birds from our deck, or reading at the pool. It is clear how hard the staff works at keeping the landscaping and buildings looking great. The staff are friendly, we enjoyed chatting with them during our visit! We ate at T and T’s often, the meals were always tasty and well plated, and the prices were very reasonable. The boat was so convenient to take us to south Caye Caulker- the ride is very quick! It was a 10/10 for our family! We will be back!

Beautiful resort, friendly staff, but the island is isolated and there’s only one restaurant. Not much to do on the resort
