Awesome Property and the staff were all extremely friendly!! Definitely staying there on my next stay!! We loved it

Amazing!! Everything we were looking for and more. Anytime we travel near Belize we will be stopping for a few days at El Ben. Freddy, Melvin, Justin and the rest of the staff you were all amazing. Special shout-out to Bigs in the back the food was phenomenal.

The property itself was aesthetic and clean. Opportunities for activities or ways to pass time are, however, limited. Due to its location on a separated island, there are almost no options for local restaurants, beaches, bars, or other activities. The on site restaurant is quite overpriced. It is connected to a more popular island with a ferry which costs 5 BZ per person per ride. For a more engaging experience, I would recommend simply going to a resort on this other island (south side) instead.

Very high expectations going into this stay and it fell flat. The pictures posted sell it well and more like a high end property, but in reality it felt more like a campground with yurts although they are cabanas. There was only decaf in the room, no towels, the AC didn’t work well. Hoping for nicer finishes and less of a camp feel. The pool was also not in great condition. The people were lovely however and couldn’t have been more accommodating and kind. And the restaurant was incredible! Short staffed so won’t discount for service - get the seafood soup!

Nice clean new resort. Rooms were well done. Service staff were excellent - great service in the bar. Nice boat to take u to town.

Spent the most wonderful week at El Ben where we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. We definitely picked the best place to stay on Caye Caulker with the best people. Just felt like family. Thank you so much for making our 50th so special. Xoxo Frank & Lynn

The property was extremely clean and well kept. Beautiful lush, tropical grounds. Everyone was we encountered during our 3-day stay was kind and accommodating. Everything we tried at the restaurant on-site was tasty and fresh. If you are looking for somewhere quiet and secluded El Ben, is for you!

Overall the property is beautiful. Our room was lovely and the food at the restaurant was very good. The grounds are also remarkable. However, the location is terrible! We had not realized that the island is split into two parts and EVERYTHING you want to do from snorkelling to shopping to bars snd restaurants is on the south side…. This hotel is in the north!! We were very restricted as to how late we could stay out as the boat transfers from the hotel and the island ferry service only goes until ten…. and stops much earlier when the weather is bad! We had to carefully plan when we could leave the hotel to go to town and worse , had to constantly be aware of the time when we were out as if we missed the last boat transfer we would be stuck in the south!! I would never ever stay in the North unless you desire absolute isolation and quiet!! Finally, we had to take a 7 am ferry back to Chetumil Mexico which meant we HAD to get a boat from the hotel at no later than 6:15…. We had been assured that there would be a boat on the dock at that time. The boat was not there snd only arrived 25 minutes later ! We barely made it to our ferry!! The boat driver didn’t even apologize for being late!! In any case, it is a shame as outside if this the service at the hotel was outstanding….. in particular one extremely helpful and delightful woman named Sarah!! In any event, I would unfortunately not stay here ever again despite the fact that the hotel is indeed beaituful!!

Everything about our stay was perfect. The staff were so nice and welcoming. The food and cocktails at the restaurant were great and everyone was helpful. Our stay was shortened by 2 nights because of a storm but the resort was nice enough to refund the nights lost although they didn’t had to. Britney at the desk was in contact with us the whole time to assist with boat, golf cart, tours and any request. She made our stay so much more easier and we are absolutely grateful for everything. The place is gorgeous and peaceful. We would recommend to anyone!
