The rooms were very small and cheaply built for the cost of stay. Not enough privacy between cabins. Better planting would be beneficial. Beds were terrible

We stayed in a “Pavillion” and it was beautiful. Very stylish and luxurious. Extremely comfortable bed and lovely pillows.

Advertises about “electric bikes” for guest use on the property however they don’t appear to be maintained. The battery was flat/not working so they were just “heavy bikes”. Included breakfast while interesting, it was “too rich/strange” for our liking. The first day had a nice yoghurt with muesli followed by a sausage, egg, capsicum and tomato type stew. Tasty and enjoyable however the second day’s breakfast was weird. A piece of strawberry and yoghurt cake followed by a beetroot and lettuce salad with an egg in a deep fried rosti (much too rich for us for breakfast). Dinner in the restaurant was also disappointing. Two courses for $95pp. The flavours were interesting and innovative however the portions were downright stingy. More like “tasting plates” rather than an entree and main. We ordered a side of “Cheesey potatoes” at $15 extra to accompany the mains, but all it was were two baked potatoes with a bit of melted grated cheese over the skin of the potatoes. Boring and quite tasteless. We ate them though because we were hungry. If we return to the property we would not choose to dine in the restaurant again, which is a shame, because it’s such a lovely setting and the chef is clearly skilled. The chef/business just needs to be more generous in their portions for the $$$ they are charging. A disappointing end to an otherwise lovely stay.

Husband and I booked Beechmont Estate for our honeymoon. Being our honeymoon, we wanted to ensure that we booked something special. The accommodation cost us almost $500 a night and was advertised as 5 star luxury accommodation but was anything but. Told staff members it was our honeymoon. Staff members showed zero excitement not even a 'congratulations'. Upon entering the cabin, I thought that perhaps we might be greeted with a bottle of sparkling or maybe some chocolates, after just getting married. Instead, we were greeted with some dirty socks (obviously a previous guests) and a tiny cabin with practically nothing inside and no view. Wifi didn't work at all, no help with luggage so had to carry it up the hill by ourselves (staff wouldn't answer the phone). Staff & service were absolutely appalling- never experienced anything like it. Asked staff member what there is to do and she said book the spa. Spa was booked out for duration of stay. No list of activities, no recommendations around the area. Bikes were broken and missing so couldn't go for a bike ride, even though this is advertised. Staff tell me they will call me when they find another bike. I never received that call from the staff as promised. So can't book the spa. No books to read in the cabin, no board games, no information booklet, no internet, no view from our cabin, no wildlife to be seen apart from some cows near the owner's property. What exactly is this 5 star accommodation offering? What is there to do? Food awful. No option for breakfast or dinner apart from what they give you. Bacon and eggs, nothing else offered. No room service duration of stay. Room was never cleaned, no fresh towels provided the entire stay. We head down to breakfast on our last day at the time stated on our booking. No staff are there. Only the chef is there. Chef says she’s really sorry but the staff haven’t shown up today so cant serve us. Left in tears.
