Land's End, Boutique Hotel

The property was very well maintained. The room was very nice with a good view.

It was along a „busier“ road.

+ Mooie ruime kamer en ruim terras met zicht op de baai. Goede bedden Ontbijt : voldoende

+/- opbergruimte : smalle langwerpige kast van ong. 15cm diepte Hangkast met 2 schappen : ok - badkamer : smalle langwerpige wastafel met weinig ruimte om toiletartikelen op te plaatsen geen kleine extra's zoals handzeepjes, douchekap, enz. (normaal wel in 4sterrenhotels) - airco stopt wanneer men de kamer verlaat (er werd ons verteld dat deze op sensoren werkt) maar toegegeven dat wanneer de airco werkt de kamer heel vlug afkoelt. - zwembad : indoor en veel te warm - geen bar op gelijkvloers. Wel op verdiep van zwembad een lounge met goede airco waar men iets kan drinken (gratis voor hotelgasten) maar open tot 9u pm en tijdens ons verblijf 1 op de 2 dagen dicht. - Ligging van het hotel : deze opmerking geldt voor de wijk waarin Land Ends boetiek en andere 4sterren hotels gelegen zijn, nl. VUILE straat en vuile stoepen met allerlei rommel en vooral peuken. In Valletta en omliggende wijken waren straten en stoepen wel proprer.

We have just returned from a lovely break at the Lands End Hotel. On first impression it is very clean and the staff on reception were very friendly. I was slightly disappointed by the room size having booked a Distinct room (the pictures on the web site give the impression they are larger so the pictures must be widened). I was also surprised there wasn’t enough storage space to store clothes, we also requested extra hangers. It was definitely worth paying the extra for a room at the front of the hotel to get the views of Valletta and the sliding doors block out 90% of the noise outside. We were pleased with the mattress which was very comfortable and the pillows. In the room there was a decent coffee machine and kettle for refreshments replenished daily. We were told not to drink the tap water, and water machines were on floors 4,6 & 8 with water containers supplied in the fridge. In the evening there is a lovely area to have a pre-dinner drink on the terrace on level 1. The bonus was also having an indoor pool on level 11, which we used every day and was very quiet with other guests and had lovely views of the harbour. My only comment for the pool would be to have a handrail by the steps for safety as it can get very slippery and is on a slight slope. The disappointment was certainly the main restaurant Hammett’s Monastik, during our stay not many diners used this restaurant with such a large area for diners. We ate here one night and found the food ordered was not the best quality in my opinion as my Veal was very fatty, the fries and vegetables not great, it was very expensive for the quality. They need to learn from a restaurant we tried nearby called Tempt Asian at AX The Place Hotel where the meal was superb with the restaurant very full so book in advance. The hotel is in a good location and Sliema was the right choice for ferries and buses, we used the car service Bolt several times and it was cheaper that the taxis. I was touched that the hotel gave me a bottle of wine to celebrate my birthday. Overall 4/5.

Very polite and kind staff, the room is amazing

Amazing location in Sliema close to the ferry station to go to Valletta and amazing views overlooking Valletta just across the harbour and to Manoel island. Heaps of restaurants and shops nearby. Friendly friendly staff from reception and from the breakfast staff. I love the idea of refillable drinking water station on my floor and the rooftop pool with amazing view of the harbour. Would love to come back and stay.

No gym facilities offered in the premises and breakfast should be included in the rates considering it wasn’t a cheap rate
