On the positive side, they did respond to messages quickly, and they changed the bed sheets during the last two days of my stay.

I had a very disappointing stay at this property. The room is extremely small and the smell from the moment you enter is very unpleasant. The shared kitchen has strong cooking smells, especially spices, which spread everywhere. Even if you cook something simple, you end up needing to change your clothes afterwards because the smell sticks. The bathroom is also very small and has an unpleasant odor. The sink is so small it is not even practical. Bed sheets are not changed regularly, and housekeeping is very limited, sometimes only once every 28 days. The kettle/hot water boiler had visible mold, which was very concerning. Noise from neighbouring rooms is very loud, making it almost impossible to sleep. The bed is also very uncomfortable, and I was unable to sleep properly for the entire week due to both the noise and the bed quality. Overall, this was not a comfortable or suitable place to stay.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. But the house was unsafe and it was dangerous for fire no fire escape from the room. The room hadn't been readied there was no bed linen and it wasn't ready to go into so we had to wait for a hour.

I was given the wrong code for the key lockbox and was waiting half an hour outside, calling the host and asking for help - everyone I talked to was completely unhelpful. The room itself is in need of a renovation; there was constant loud rattling coming from the bathroom vents, the bathroom wall was mouldy/dirty. The hallway of the house has a very strong unpleasent smell that hits you as soon as you enter. Worst part of this stay however is the shared kitchen the other occupants who live in the house permanently. Everyone was extremely unfriendly, judgemental, untidy and overall made my stay almost unbearable. The smoke detector in the kitchen is extremely sensitive and would turn on at every use of the oven or toaster. There was barely any free fridge space for me and no clean dish sponge or oven mitts.

Everything. It had been a hectic experience from the very first moment and I had to checkout 5 days earlier. Sacrificing the money of these 5 days was my best option unfortunately. 1. Checking in: I had to wait 45 minutes under the rain because they gave me the wrong passcode. Same problem repeated at checkout. 2. The windows are not isolated; the street is very noisy and felt like I am sitting on the street all the day. 3. One washing machine and 2 medium fridges serve 6 double rooms (11 guests). I could not find a place to put my food and every couple days I had to throw the milk in the waste bin. It was challenging to wash my clothes and more challenging to find a place to dry it. I had to buy a rope. 4. The kitchen, most of the time the smell is very offensive, not because of the cleaning agency which was very caring and friendly but because this is a small place that serves all these guests. The kitchen is not equipped with anything significant and I had to buy my tools. 5. The staff treated me like an animal; The heating system was not working in my room and they kept giving me a false hope, we will come and check, we will sort out a small fridge in your room and they never come, except for replacing the door handle which was broken. I did not have much expectations with this price but definitely respecting people, treating them as humans and being honest is totally free. This place is the wish accommodation experience I had in the UK.

The room was spacious and clean, the local Hanley park was beautiful and we went to Alton Towers In Alton which Is near by and was the purpose for the visit!

It’s too bright in the morning when you want to have a lie in on your holiday… block out light blinds would more appropriate. The location wasn’t the best but everything was convenient and close by.
