The Burrell House

Charming, clean, safe, nice amenities. I’d stay here again. Only minor critique would be that my room was next to the entrance porch and even though there was a window shade, light from the entryway still seeped in around the edges. If you need total darkness to sleep, maybe bring eye shades.

The driveway has a deep pothole. The pothole was so deep that the front of the car dropped onto the driveway and damaged the front of our car. I was not happy about this. We arrived at night and could not see the pothole. After that, I had to drive off the road to avoid the pothole. There is no staff at the house. We stayed at the hotel for a wedding. On our way to the wedding, as we were attempting to leave the house, the handle of the front door came out. We were stuck in the house and there was nobody to talk to. I am not that handy but eventually I was able to get the handle reattached to the door so that we could get out of the house. But we were stuck for a while. With all this said, the room was OK. The sheets were very nice and the pillows were nice. The mattress was extremely soft. It felt like foam. Also, the faucet in the shower was completely loose. You could literally pull the faucet away from the wall. You can hear constant traffic on the road outside.

This is a lovely old home divided into guest rooms. It is really convenient to downtown and the area was quiet. Everything in the room functions well - Keurig coffee, microwave, fridge, great shower, A/C, good bed. Yet I was expecting more charm and warmth from an old inn. Parlor was unused and not very welcoming. Would have been nice to see fresh flowers, maybe coffee and tea maker in parlor with some cookies, a few throw rugs in rooms. I didn't find a comfy and well-lit space in room or parlor to do some work or sit and read.

Unique little inn dating back to the 1850s. Each room is different but well furnished with microwave, fridge, and coffee machine. The beds were very comfortable and the whole place was very clean. Our family rented 5 rooms and spent evenings together in the parlour. We walked to the bakery for breakfast and easy walking to restaurants in town for dinner. The hotel definitely is not handicap friendly if you need that, but otherwise very pleasant and a great location in Keene.

Great location! Contactless communication. The room was equipped with a microwave and a fridge which was great. Very clean.

If you have a lot of baggage, keep in mind that to will have to carry it up the stairs of your room is in the 2nd floor. Wifi is very spotty and slow, it was hard for me to work remotely. The bed is memory foam which seemed awesome at start but then I noticed that it had sunken and had to be replaced. My nights were miserable, sleepless, and painful. I happened to be there on hot days. They have a portable AC which barely works and is severely loud. I was not able to talk on the phone while it was on. Keeping that AC on all day does not promise a cold room. I personally did not like the claw foot bath. The arrangement with the shower curtain was not awesome, it was touching me no matter where I stood. Will not recommend.

Absolutely delightful, charming and comfortable. We would love to stay again.
