Great stay

Beautiful, comfortable room in a restored Victorian home. Comfortable bed, fluffy towels, plenty of room. Smartly decorated. The entire home is beautiful. Walking distance to the town square.

Our room was on the main street, a busy thoroughfare of town.

Did not like contactless checkin. Arrived after 7 hr drive only to discover I had refer to a text for a door code to get in. Very steep stairs.

Lovely restored home close to downtown. We were on the second floor - just know the stairs are very steep!!!

Location is ideal as its only a few minutes walk to the main street with bars, restaurants and cafes. Plus there is amble, free parking at the back of the property. The room itself is excellent, everything was spotless and well decorated. The bathroom was lovely and we liked the option of the fridge and coffee machine. Would very much recommend The Stage restaurant and Soles speakeasy bar (which is great fun and staff are brilliant). We went to Lindy's Diner for breakfast and visited The Toadstool bookstore. If you interested in the Jumanji films, the first one was filmed here and the area was celebrating 30 years of the film. There are lots of film references in the main street (Parrish Shoes mural on brick wall) as well as a larger mural of the film characters and animals. There's also other interesting street art down the alley ways and we felt safe to walk around in the evening to check these out.

We had a bit of bother getting into the property with the key / turning the dial on the lock – but once we mastered it, being keyless was actually good. Make sure you have a little patience and know the codes well!

Nice and clean. Good location for walking downtown.
