The fire escape stair well had a fridge, ladder & a cleaners trolley all potentially blocking an escape route.

Das Personal war bemüht

Kein Kleiderschrank und Tisch, dazu extrem laut von der Straße und hellhörig innen. Frühstück war nett, aber für ein 4 Sterne Hotel zu wenig Auswahl. Der Empfang und das Frühstück ohne Abtrennung dahinter. Vom Hotel bestellt immer den gleichen Fahrer und war dann doppelt so teuer wie von booking.com. gebuchte Fahrten.

Lovely hotel in an ideal location. It is in the historic old town and very close to the river. A short walk through the tunnel to your left brings you out to the iron bridge where you can cross on foot to the other side of the river and all the port houses. The hotel is an historic building tastefully updated to a modern, clean and smart boutique style accommodation, while still retaining its historic features. Rooms are pleasant with good en suite facilities. Just be aware that hanging space is restricted with little to no shelving/cupboard space. This is fine for a short city break but means the room looks a bit cluttered when you’ve unpacked. This detracts from the clean lines they have created in the room. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast is excellent. There is a range of continental style cheeses, breads, meats, yoghurts, pastries and fruits and hot food is cooked to order - eggs or omelettes cooked with bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, cheese or any combination of these ingredients. We went as two couples and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this hotel.
