Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo, Panama City

Absolute perfection from start to finish! We only stayed 2 nights, and I didn't want to leave. We arrived very early in the morning, and the check in process was quick and smooth. We had sumptuous breakfasts with the most perfect croissants outside of Paris. Delicious espresso drinks too. We received an early check in and upgrade to a suite with a water view (thanks Amex Platinum card!) The room was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed the balcony, huge walk in shower, and robes and slippers. The pool area was lovely and they make their Aperol spritzes with real champagne! Exceptional service at every stage, even when leaving for a 5:30 am excursion. I would love to return.

Некомпетентный и ленивый персонал. Простейший вопрос о возможности позднего выезда или оплаты дополнительной ночи в связи с логистикой нашего маршрута вылился в длительное ночное ожидание решения, которого не мог предоставить никто из персонала. Помощи с багажом нет. Отель старый. У нас был рваное постельное белье, двери в ванную отваливались, горячая вода еле текла.

Sobrevalorado, definitivamente no vale lo que cuesta. La habitación con mucha humedad. El desayuno no me gustó. El personal de servicio muy atento y las habitaciones muy limpias con vista espectacular!

Comida cara y no buena

Definitely a five star experience. Christian, the hotel manager rated above exceptional. His attention to detail and personal experience was more than you could ever ask for. I highly suggest giving yourself a treat by staying at this hotel. The staff in the dining room was exceptional and very accommodating.

Great location in Casco Viejo but in a quet area, nice staff and beautiful rooms with a small balcony

Breakfast is a bit expensive for what you get

WOW is all I can say about this hotel - everything was wonderful...staff, room, food, most wonderful fabulous spa, pool, location. After visiting the Sofitel Legend in Egypt (if you get to go there, it's FABULOUS) we didn't know what to expect, and this location is quite different but is as fabulous! I've been to spa's all over the world and although it wasn't the fanciest, the services and the staff were so lovely, attentive and quite skilled. Our first time and second hotel in Panama; we definitely saved the BEST for last. Loved it so much, promptly came home and made reservation for next year. YEAH!!!

The only complaints I would have is the air conditioning. It is so COLD and their is a theme of eco friendly, so it seems wasteful to have the air up so high. Everyone I spoke to agreed. And this was also true of the spa air conditioning; I had to move twice in the beginning of a treatment because the air vent was blowing down on my naked body. And the food and service at the rooftop restaurant wasn't that great, but we only went once! Still give it a 10!

Very nice views from certain rooms, and it was a beautiful room I ended up with.

The food was not particularly good neither at the roof top nor at their Michelin star restaurant, or at the in-room service. I had to ask for a room at a higher floor. The first room they assigned me was in a lower level, smelled of mold (it was at the closest level to water) and did not have the best view. That left me with a bad taste, to have to argue for a better accommodation. It’s a very busy hotel, fancy by all accounts, so if you want a smaller hotel, more intimate then this is not a good choice.
