Courtyard by Marriott Richmond Scott's Addition

This hotel was gorgeous! We arrived late so we didn’t spend any time around the area so I'm not sure how that is. I will say it is very loud especially at night outside. I swear the same car kept driving back and forth on the street outside of our room and it was SO loud that was the only thing we weren’t happy with.

Great experience. Eric at the front desk was incredibly kind and courteous. We showed up at 3:30pm, and I let him know that I knew we were early and happy to wait. Instead of telling me to wait, he gave me another room option and a $20 discount (because it was technically a downgrade) Quickest check-in process. Room was clean and bathroom was nice. Parking was easy-peezy. My only complaint is how uncomfortable the bed was, hard with flat pillows. But given my experience overall, that doesn't knock off any stars.

The room contained a bed and a couch with ottoman. It was nice to have a place to sit and put my feet up besides the bed. There was a tiny balcony.

The balcony was not as pictured. There was only 1 chair, very noisy next to an exhaust vent, and much smaller than pictured. No table, no fireplace. The indoor pool was ICE cold. No sun to the water or area. AC blasting in the pool space. Could not stay in the water. The tv did not allow us to stream our own content as stated. The bed had a huge dip in the middle. The shower “door” only covered half the shower and water got all over the floor. The tv at our breakfast table would not work. The remote didn’t even have a back on it. When we asked about the tv in our room, a solution could not be made. They were nice about it and offered free breakfast and parking. But the next day, there was no record of that offer. They did honor it though, after some time at checkout. Overall very disappointing.

It was clean and quiet, exactly what we needed at our halfway point to NYC. We looked forward to our stay again on the way home. Staff was friendly.

They have a great front desk and bartender staff. By far there the best!
