Godley Manor

Loved this stay! As a solo female traveler I never felt more safe and welcomed. Beth was so welcoming and the building is GORGEOUS. Will definitely be staying here again!

This is a fantastic place to stay in the Historic District of Savannah. The home and rooms are beautiful, comfortable and quiet. Free parking, nice Continental breakfast item selection and only a block to Forsyth Park, the areas best public park/square.

Throughly enjoyed our stay at Godley Manor. It’s about a 20 min walk to River Street but it was an easy route and felt safe at night. Free parking and the continental breakfast was a plus. Bed was comfy and area was quiet at night.

We enjoyed our stay. It's beautiful 1866 Mansion, and they tried hard to keep up that appears on the inside. We would stay there again.

Beautiful old house with beautifully decorated room, nice breakfast and excellent location for exploring Savannah. A place I would definitely come back to and recommend to friends.

We'd gladly return to Godley Manor on our next visit to Savannah. It was just delightful. It's a beautiful restoration in a lovely, safe and convenient neighborhood and is reasonably priced. We enjoyed its historic charm, interesting guests, personable and friendly staff and the local ambiance. Our downstairs room was spacious and comfortable, albeit a bit damp despite running the AC continuously. A friendly suggestion: The unenclosed tiled shower had a lot of overspray. Thís inevitably resulted in a wet bathroom floor that was both a fall hazard and difficult to dry. Some rethinking wouldn't hurt. Thanks for a lovely week!

We just spent 5 nights at the Godley Manor for a short getaway vacation. This is an amazing historic property! The owners are working very hard to restore and maintain everything. Our 3rd floor room (Room 305) was huge, clean, and very comfortable! I think the bath, alone, was larger than our last cruise cabin. One of the things I noticed most was how clean it was. There was none of the musty odor that you get with a lot of older B&Bs. The staff was super friendly and justifiably proud of the Godley. There is ample free parking for all of the guests, which is refreshing in Savannah where parking is very scarce and at a very high premium. The free "DOT Shuttle" is a few blocks away which takes you into the historic downtown. Kroger is in walking distance and a wine/liquor store is around the corner. Continental breakfast was nicely presented and held us until a late lunch. If you want more, Clary's Cafe is a few blocks away. Pro Tip: Rooms are on the 1st and 3rd floors. The common area is on the second floor. There is no elevator. You might consider your room location if you have mobility issues. Also consider the size and weight of your bags. I think we'll pack 2 smaller bags, rather than one large one for future adventures. Overall, highly recommended!

Beautiful, spacious room in a well kept old classic building. The staff was excellent! Large outdoor porch with rocking chairs to sit and unwind. Good location. Close to free bus stop and 20 minute walk to the river front. Very quiet. We highly recommend!
