StayOvr at Galatyn Park

Our apartment was in a good location on the property as we were able to park right out the door on the street. Nice property. Enjoyed our stay.

The parking garage and trash dumpsters were quiet the hike to get to.

The location was quiet and close to where we spent most of our week. The pool area was nice, and the apartment was large and clean. With our apartment, it was closer and easier to park on the street rather than in the the parking garage.

The unit we were in was a second floor apartment, so there are things that come with that. Having lived in an apartment before, I knew what to expect. Often, we could hear the people in the apartment above us or beside us. The first hour we were there, the person in the apartment below us knocked on our door and rudely told us they could hear us. I’m sorry, it’s an apartment, and you can hear people around you. We were intentionally trying to walk softly, but it’s a newer complex and not built like old ones. You can hear those above you and sometimes beside you. I wish we had been provided two fobs for accessing exterior doors and the pool area. It took some planning when the family was separated to make sure we could get where needed to go.

The StayOvr kitchenette in Richardson, Texas has both good points and bad points. The worst shortfall is entry into the building after 6:00 P.M. The StayOvr Kitchenette is within a building of two hundred to four hundred residents. StayOvr appears to have only one to five units that they rent out within this very large complex. We were furnished a six-digit code number, plus poorly written instructions for using a computer screen touchpad next to a number pad. Using the number pad alone, the six-digit code number did NOT work despite several tries. Using the computer screen touchpad and selecting virtual key did NOT work with the adjacent keypad despite three tries. Using the computer screen touchpad and selecting virtual key did NOT work alone as no number pad appeared after selecting the choice “virtual key.” After 6:00 P.M. there is no one available by phone. There is only a night shift person who responds to text messages. None of the return text messages from the night shift person were of any help. In fact, the night shift person was snarky and disrespectful!!! Customer service is dead! The only reason we were able to get into our unit was that a resident of the building arrived, opened the door, and we went through the door. A computerized key fob sat inside the rental unit on the kitchen counter – of absolutely no use to us outside the door!!! My wife stayed inside the building door while I made several trips to bring in our groceries. Getting into the building where our pre-paid rental unit was situated was a nightmare! After a long day of travel and all the hassles of air travel the non-responsive locked door as awful! Either arrive before 6:00 P.M. or have StayOvr airfreight you the computerized key fob two or three days before you fly out. The StayOvr management does NOT seem to recognize that both the U.S. Mountain time zone and the U.S. Pacific time zone lose time when we fly east. In addition, there are sometimes flight delays!

Car parking was little inconvenient, if we had a reserved slot it would have been amazing

I loved everything it was a getaway of a Lifetime. It was peaceful and I would do it again but I left my hat on the side of the bed and really want it shipped to me.
