Studio In the Lanes

Location was great. Easy access to shopping disctrict and to beach and main sites. Very tastefully decorated studio apartment with everything you need. Well designed to maximise on space available.

Would benefit from blackout blinds on the front windows . And a toilet seat that was soft close and stayed up !!

Stayed for 2 nights when at a conference at the Brighton centre. I think this is the best area to stay in Brighton and it was very easy to find/access the property from the instructions. A couple of things could take it from being a decent stay to somewhere really nice, which wouldn’t cost much. The flat was clean however the bed uncomfortable. Generally a cold place but quickly heats with the radiator on. If you’re a light sleeper you will probably want ear plugs and maybe even an eye mask as the blinds do not block out much light in the mornings.

Had a great 2-night stay. Location absolutely amazing. Everything very easy, with good email communication from the hosts, both on arrival and before departure. The noise as mentioned in other reviews was present, but not bothersome to me. General upkeep and cleanliness not quite to hotel standard, but i dont expect that from an apartment.

The location couldn’t be more perfect / central and the property had everything you could need.

We stayed for a week and it’s a little small for two people staying that long. I imagine it suits a 2-3 day stay more

The location was ideal for everything in Brighton but had its downside (see below). The kitchen facilities were good and had everything we needed to prepare simple meals in the apartment. The apartment was clean and spacious. The power shower in the bathroom was very good.

East Street is a thoroughfare from the nightclubs back into town so is very noisy all night every night both from the street and from people in the other apartments coming and going (not the owner's fault). There were no hooks or rails for hanging wet towels and swimsuits - tricky for a week's stay. There were no shelves or cupboards for clothes (only a very small, very high cupboard). We had to store them on the floor. Lighting is decorative rather than functional especially for reading in bed.

The apartment could have been cleaner. Unfortunately, there were plumbing issues in the apartment during our stay. The hosts did rectify the issue as soon as they could but it meant the bathroom was unusable for almost an entire day.

The way the studio is laid out is superb. Really clever use of nooks to include everything you need without taking up space. It was in a very central location close to venues, cafes, restaurants and the beach. Really easy check in and out process.

Only thing that could be better would be if they added some towel hooks to hang up your towel. It does get noisy at night because of its central location and the old windows (old building standard problem), but it didn’t bother us too much.

The room was in an amazing location and was really modern and comfortable. It was amazing to have a little kitchenette, microwave and fridge which other hotels haven’t had ! Really close to the pier and local shops and restaurants.

Unfortunately because of the traditional styled windows and a lack of block out blinds meant that we couldn’t sleep at all the first two nights (Friday & Saturday night). The only way we were able to get some sleep was to buy some eye masks and use noise cancelling headphones. I understand it’s a busy road although if the property could put even just block out blinds this would help so much !! Also it didn’t bother us but the shower is frosted which meant not much was left for the imagination 😂.
