Don Panchon y Maruxa

Good size room, very clean, very helpful and friendly staff, good location. Only a few minutes walk away from the plaza, bars and restaurants, and the main entrance to the beach. All for an excellent price!

Nice light breakfast served each morning. Staff very friendly, great location very close to shops and restaurants.

Sometimes the bathroom had large insects in it during the night.. but other than that everything was perfect

- Central location to both Ferry and Beach - nice hosts - lovely garden where you can sit - AC and fan work well - comfy beds

- low water pressure and only cold shower - after heavy rains some of our clothes in the room got wet due to a leaky roof - After the room service my powerbank incl. Charger was unpacked, our clothes and backpacks were in completely other places within the room - poorly soundproofed rooms - despite reviews about breakfast there was none. However it is Not in the Description of the Hotel so no impact on the evaluation

The location was great, very central, close by many restaurants, shops and the beach. The staff is super friendly, with great recommendations for activities in the island and where to eat. You can rent bikes here cheaper than most rental places, great to explore all the all to punta mosquito or punta cocos.

When we arrived, we found a dead cockroach in the room... not pleasant, but we were immediately offered another room. Everything ends up covered in sand and dust from outside. A bit on the noisy side given the central location.

wifi wasn’t always working but it is not the most important while on holiday (however, you could probably not work from there)

Isla Holbox is a must-do and this hotel was perfect to make the most of it ! Pancho is a great host and really communicates that unique chill island vibe you find in Holbox. The hotel is comfortable and has a well working internet wi-fi connection (particularly useful as there is no data in the island)

Panchon is an amazing guest, the location is super functional and pretty, air conditioning, services uch as bikes and tours

Francisco is a generational family member who helps his relatives run the hotel. He let us know he history of Holbox and his family business as a fishery and then the love of Don Panchos of fishing. HIs wife and staff so accommodating. Don Panchos greeted us returning from his fishing expedition and cooked up a nice covine with pico de gallo and a chilled bottle awaited us as we showed up early and the room was being cleaned. We had great appreciation for the beautiful gardens and loving cats. We thanked them for their hospitality and they returned our appreciation for their generosity giving us two beers. Such a quiet and spacious room. It was wonderful. They gave us tips to spend at 3 local places and ended up at a quaint and classy but non stuffy place called Nanya for the sunset. He did recommend caroica but was too loud and Capitan Capitan reminded me of USA home placs to drink in Florida. We found Holbox very beautiful and vendor food is amazing and cheap and healthy. Learned so much from our stay and appreciation all of it. Thank you. They even supplied the taxi to the return ferry back.

Nice setting, very welcoming and helpful staff. Good daily breakfast (coffee, tea, croissants, cereals, yogurt, fruit, dairy milk, oats) bike rental available, felt safe, free water refills. Great location.

AC stopped working, shower water pressure was poor, noisy environment (traffic).
