"Very mixed. Great and memorable location and food but not very peaceful."

The location is stunning. Beautiful views from the balcony of the junior suite. The staff were very helpful and very good food in the restaurant.

Unfortunately, there was a chimney right next to the main bedroom and a vent just above our bedroom which I assume was linked to the The restaurant next door. It made a noise through most of the day and during the night it kept coming on and off which disturbed my sleep. If you’re not a light sleeper, I think it would be fine. The balcony to the junior suite was only separated from the balcony of the restaurant by a divider which meant that we could not sit in peace on the balcony without having to listen to the diners and their conversations. I didn’t find that too distracting as the View was so lovely. The floor wasn’t very clean, as I noticed that my socks which I was wearing around the bedroom became dirty.

Loved our stay here. The rooms were lovely, so much space and beautiful views. The staff were so accommodating and welcoming - will miss the delicious breakfasts overlooking the sea!

"Great stay at the Royal George"

Lovely location right in the front. The restaurant has a great view of Instow and Saunton. Clean and tidy room and accommodated our dog.

Parking not on site - albeit public car parks close. Breakfast not included in base price.

"Lovely location, brilliant food, exceptional staff - wonderful!"

Marvellous hotel & restaurant with spectacular views from the glass frontage of the restaurant built directly over the water. All the staff are brilliant with special mentions for Daniel, Jack and Sasha who were incredibly kind and helpful when my partner arrived a bit injured from a bike accident. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had!
