Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat

This was such a beautiful and peaceful plays to stay. The lady that welcomed us was super nice and even suggested some good food places. Would stay again!!!!

It is in a very secluded place within nature. Nature lovers would love this place.

This is off the beaten path so be prepared and stock up on snacks/food before you get there. I stayed in Pisgah and the room was very spacious, ridiculously clean (cleaner than many of the nice chain hotels I have stayed at), and super cute. It came with a white noise machine that was needed as you can hear your neighbors (I heard mine snoring). There is parking right next to the cabin. WiFi worked great. The biggest *complaint* was I never saw the resident dogs. I was looking forward to petting them!

Beautiful view. You can enjoy the outdoors even at night with all of the lighting. The main lodge was great as well. Bought a couple of souvenirs via PayPal as well. Next time, we're definitely staying at the Winter Star cabin though. Nothing wrong with the Piscah cabin, just would have preferred the view of the Winter Star better.

Really nothing to complain about. The floorboards squeaked a bit in the living room? The leather sofa was noisy?

Had great wifi, beauty, comfort, kitchen access and near the state forest for river access, swimming

I can’t say enough great things about this place. The attention to detail is noticed. I don’t normally write reviews but I feel like this place deserves that. Check in super easy, my room was ready early, everything seems new and clean and it’s a beautiful property.

Being in the rural mountains of NC.

The Eco resort would have been the perfect vacation if I was 25 yrs younger. The remoteness, terrain(so many stairs!!) and rustic cabin were too much for my age and capabilities.
