Hygge Living - Heart of Copenhagen

Ground floor apartment, no steps to carry luggage up/down. It's a quirky apartment in a historic building which comes with all the character benefits of age. The location is wonderful for Tivoli and the station - a 15 minute walk with cases and you're there. The apartment has good bones and could be super smart with some care.

The property manager asked for only a 10 rating and Iin order not to affect their future bookings I was going to not leave a review, however future guests so need to see balanced reviews. The property needs some work. The toilet has no lid and isn't fixed to the floor. This makes doing your business difficult and risky. The steps out of the shower are very slippery, it's a small space but those who aren't stable on their feet would have issues. There's no microwave and you have to hunt for the kettle behind someone's belongings. Infact the property feels like someone moved out the day before. Piles of books over the dining table, artwork mid way through completion leaning up against walls, skateboards and hats in the bedroom. There's some old cleaning equipment left, no bin liners, door handles falling off, felt a bit studenty.

It’s a lovely apartment in a great location, with everything you need to have a good stay in the city for a few days.

It was unfortunate that it was during the hottest days so inside it was very hot but other days it was fine.

Quirky

Very Danish, really felt like we got to experience a real Danish home. The property is in the perfect location - everything is walkable and close by.

Very little to be honest - it really was perfect!

The location of the property was excellent, it was possible to walk to most of the city sites. I accidentally tried to get the key from the wrong lockbox - it was totally my fault, but Julien and his son sorted out the issue immediately and even checked the next day that all was fine. If you are looking for bog standard accommodation, then this is not for you! The apartment is full of history and character, indeed, it is wonderful. If I were ever to visit Copenhagen again, I would want to stay here for sure.

The flat would not suit someone with mobility limitations due to the steps in the apartment.
