Your Sheffield Stays - Spacious 5 Bedroom House

The property was very clean and smelt lovely when we arrived. Everything we would need for the stay was provided and we used the iron and ironing board. The linens and towels smelt lovely too. It was very handy to have a parking permit provided with the property too.

The house is in a student area in Sheffield opposite Sheffield United FC. Therefore, we heard noise from the neighbours when trying to sleep. The house isn't very well insulated and took a long time to warm up!

It’s not as clean as it been made out to be. When we entered the property, there was hair on the floor spiders on the wall showing that a deep clean really wasn’t done in the property. Upstairs the windows 2 windows didn’t open and On hot day you need to be able to open the windows, the bedsheets were not clean in all the rooms and some towels still had a few stains. The carpets has burn marks and the bed were not comfy at all. The kitchen was okay but again there was gone off food in the cupboard that should be thrown away. In the bathroom on the first floor there was still blond hair in the drain that hadn’t been cleared.

The size of the accommodation was great and thats what made it value for money. The location albeit on a main road opposite the football stadium was very central. Everything you need is very close by.

However the general over view of the house wasnt great there were broken light fixtures, several of the beds jad slats fallen through and we had to put them back in. The garden was awful, so many bins and cigarette butts everywhere. Whilst the lovely lady emailed be to let me know about the stairs, this was only the day before our stay so there was not time to arrange alternative accommodation for 6 adults and 3 children. They are terribly steep and dangerous and you can't really fit a stairgate to them due to the shape. The oven was dirty and the grill tray had melted cheese all over it. The shower pressure isnt very good and it goes from a normal temp to absolutely freezing randomnly which isn't ideal for the number of people the house caters for and how long it takes everyone to have a shower as you have to keep turning it on and off again to get the temperature back up. This accommodation isn't suitable fot young children or older people or anyone with any mobility issues.
