The Accommodation was fine. The Bistro was great. Patrons leaving the pub were very noisy and the pub stays open until 4 am
This was a nice place to stay. Although being in a room next to the shared bathrooms wasnt great. People slamming the door early in the morning wasnt ideal and taking very long showers. If you are trying to have a sleep in not ideal at all. Carpet in the room was filthy.
Hotel was clearly a former smoking hotel and the rooms still reeked of cigarette smoke. There were no bathrooms in the rooms and you had to go down the hall to get to them, check out was 10 AM, however the rooms locked guests out at 9 AM and people had gone to the bathroom and couldn't get back into their rooms, worse too as reception was not yet open.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The dining options were excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Staff were very friendly and helpful when checking in at the bar, rooms are accessible through a seperate entrance, up a floor of stairs and above the bar area, so there is some ambient noise through the floor til late but nothing that kept us awake. We got a deluxe room with private bathroom, and the bathroom was nice, modern, and very clean, with a nice shower with a big rainfall style shower head. Regular rooms don't have bathrooms, we didnt use the communal ones but they looked the same as the private one so are nice though you might need to wait. Room was well cooled with air conditioner and fan, and a small bar fridge that chilled water bottles pretty well. Usual amenities, including a kettle and tea cups etc. Overall a great and affordable stay over a long weekend, as long as you're not expecting any extra frills.
