The price! A nice hotel for a good price, very spacious rooms, reasonable breakfast, helpful staff and they allowed me to change my booked nights following an unexpected change in my hike dates (due to heavy rain). The town itself is very cute and I enjoyed working around it, very chilled. The hike at Vale do Patty (Chapada Diamantina) was amazing!

I stayed in two rooms (once before and once after the hike) - the first room was facing the back with a view of a car park; the second had a balcony with a view so was nicer (although then you get the noise of the motorbikes from the road, so hit and miss).
