Holiday Inn Express Nanchang Riverside by IHG

The personnel don’t speak English. The the breakfast is really weak. No grocery shop or western restaurant around.

Excellent room in a lovely hotel with great reception staff and very reasonably priced. Good location

No restaurant available in the evening so had to go outside to eat. Also, lack of food choice for breakfast as staff did not keep food stocked up as it ran out.

When I arrived at Nanchang West train station, I found it difficult to book a taxi on Didi because I couldn't find the hotel on the map. Sam, the hotel manager, was very helpful, speaking to me at length on the phone in excellent English and then speaking to the guards at the taxi rank to explain my predicament. Consequently, they helped me get a taxi. Furthermore, the room was huge, had a very comfortable bed and a great bathroom, as well as a great view of the river.

Everything was fine. It would be good if some of the other staff could speak some English. This would have made paying a bit easier.

The FOM is very professional and can speak English. The breakfast is quite good. They have the local authentic dish for breakfast. The cook was very polite and asked me if everything was fine and whether I need anything else.

Firstly the front office manager denied to proceed check-in, because I’m a foreigner. Then he contacted the FOM and due to him I was smoothly checked in.
