Best Western Adelaide Airport

The room and grounds were clean & tidy. Fabulous shower, comfortable bed and easy to control room temperature as per your comfort. The staff were pleasant and very accommodating. We were in room 2 which is ground level street side so a bit of road noise on the weekend. The outdoor hallway for room access is an echo chamber so can be noisy if your neighbours are.

Very close to the airport for an early morning flight. Very neat, clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and helpful. The two bedrooms were fantastic when travelling with younger children.

Bed was comfy

Staff great , check in very quick . Room clean , bed comfy . Bar facilities didn’t open until 5pm , kitchen opens at 6pm , food lovely and big serves . Only concern was the facilities ( bar / kitchen ) advertised as not being available on weekends 😢😢

It was perfect for my overnight needs.

Great room. Loved the old school vibes. Shower was awesome. Maybe stack the bar fridge, if it is a day when the bar is closed? I reckon the shuttle to the airport should also be free..

Only thing was no where to store luggage room very small bed was amazing

Handy to the airport

There's no doubt that the modern airport hotel is a thing of great convenience. However, there's a price to be paid for this, and sometimes near enough is good enough. Unless you have a near-bottomless corporate expense account, sometimes you just want to save a few dollars and spend them somewhere else on your journey. It wasn't that long ago, in 2018, that Adelaide opened its first airport hotel, the 165-room Atura. It was the first in the country to be connected directly to a terminal building. However, I've found another perfectly acceptable property within spitting distance of Adelaide airport. I worked out that you’d save at least $50 on a room here compared to the Atura. The Best Western is a clever and sensible conversion of a classic old motel into a comfortable modern accommodation within easy reach of the terminal. The former beige-brick 1970s Aviator’s Lodge reopened in August 2024 as the thoroughly refreshed Best Western Adelaide Airport, falling into the ‘mid-scale’ range of accommodation. Yes, it's outside the airport precinct but easily accessible by public transport or a dedicated shuttle at a reasonable extra cost. ($14pp or $20/couple). A lunchtime Uber is about $14. My room (9) was also an accessible suite. It was large and comfortable, with everything you could possibly want for a brief overnight pre-flight stay. Double-glazed windows and soundproof doors ensured the room stayed quiet. The superbly comfortable bed, massive flat-screen TV, hot shower, minifridge, and breakfast and bar were just a hop and a jump across the driveway. The restaurant menu offers generous pub-style dishes at reasonable prices. Steaks, pizzas, burgers, and chicken are featured, along with local wines and Coopers Ale on tap. What else could you want? In almost 30 years of staying at and reviewing hotels, the thing that often lingers in my memory beyond the carpet and wall hangings is the quality of the staff and the warm feelings they leave you with long after you've checked out. This was certainly the case with the Best Western Adelaide Airport, and I want to thank ever-cheery Millie and her team for a most pleasant stay.

Very good stay. Check in remote and worked fine. No issues with the room, clean and as expected. Bed not the most comfortable but ok. Restaurant not open on weekends so have to travel to find food. Would stay there again.
