Er is niet echt een badkamer. Douchen kan in de sauna en er is een wastafel bij het toilet.

I liked the place it was tidy and it was so beautiful , especially the kitchen . I enjoyed much of the fireplace and some of the rooms were quiet and enjoyable . It was very warm and pleasant there and it had comfortable furniture around the place.

I didn’t really enjoy the wi-fi to much and it almost never much worked. Most of the tv channels also disconnected regarding the wi-fi and we weren’t able to watch many apps on the television . Some of the rooms were really small especially the one upstairs as I kept on bumping the head as well as my family. Nevertheless, it was very enjoyable and it was a cosy place.

Very nice rustic cabin with a big issue.

Just to set the tone. We are Finns and very used to rustic cabins. Also we just returned from a three day 50km hike with a tent where we used to drink from the streams etc. Also over the last few years we have stayed around 25 different cabins of different comfort levels all around Finland. The main issue is that there is no water inside. All water (drinking, cooking, cleaning, sauna, etc.) needs to be carried with buckets from a stream about 20m downhill from the cabin. It is supposed to be drinkable, but just keep this in mind depending if you are happy to drink from a stream going through an area with multiple cabins. Now, if this had been mentioned in the booking.com pages (or even at checkin) this would not be an an issue (except for the price, see below). However it was not mentioned. When asked about this during checkout the comment was that ”oh, we must have forgotten to say it on the booking.com pages.” The second issue is WiFi. Saying that there is one is lying about the property. It just does not work (so slow it is completetely useless) and there is no mobile internet coverage. It would be an easy and inexpensive to fix this . Just put an additional external antenna to the WiFi router. Maybe the owner have also ”forgotten” to inform at booking.com that the WiFi does not really work? Those might feel minor details but keep in mind that this cabin is at Saariselkä and priced for 220eur/night. It is heavily overpriced. You can get similar cabins with half a price and most with running water and working internet. In summary the main upset is that the owner is not honest about the cabin in booking.com pages.
