Wander Camp Glacier

The property is not well represented in the pictures. We were expecting a meadow with the “Glamping” tents set up all around. We were met with a tent in the woods with no path to the “50 feet away outhouse”. It was so grown up, we couldn’t park at our tent. We knew it was a tent, but we did not expect the growth of the forest.

Linens were dirty, hard to get too. All amenities supplied were not working.

Bed was large and comfortable. Double zipper of canvas & mesh kept out the bugs. Bathrooms with showers were within walking distance. That said, tents were close to each other, so there was no privacy. Minimal deck off the tent, so no where to really sit outside. No fire pits. We were provided with 2 lanterns and 2 mini fans -- neither lantern worked, and only one fan worked (you need to bring your own USB chargers to use them). They ran out of water in the morning (we were up by 8am) so sinks & showers were useless. They emailed us effectively the day before our reservation, but there was no one there upon arrival.

HORRIBLE *DO NOT BOOK* with them! I don't even know where to start. It was one bad thing after the other. 1. The road up is potholes galore!! You better have good tires and you will likely need your vehicle balanced upon return home! 2. There is NO water. NO water. You can't flush the toilet, you can't wash your hands, you can't shower (not like you'd want to shower in that filth). Going #1 or #2 on other people's #1 or #2 is NOT sanitary! I'm so disappointed we booked 4 nights no way we stayed there after a few hours we left! I got sick (surprise, surprise), my 71 year old mother got sick and my 8 year old son. Just waiting for it to hit my 81 year old dad. We have a long trek back to MN and they just ruined our trip glaciers national park - a trip of a lifetime- ruined! 3. They are liars! I contacted orbitz to complain that evening we got to the campsite - they lied and said the water had been fixed! No it was not!!! We even went back the next morning to check and it was not!! I took video of it all! (It's hard to show via screenshots- but I have video proof if anyone needs it). 4. You can hear the train all night long. If you try and fall asleep that will wake you up immediately. It's startling!

Check in was contactless, which is not a problem. But they should’ve sent the message earlier. I was in national park and there was no reception. Had to drive to the nearest town to receive the message.

do you like to have a towel to shower when you travel, or would you like to know you need to bring one? Bedding provided is not enough for local climate, bring a heavy blanket or sleeping bag to supplement bedding

The tent set up was decent noisy campers very close too each other heard planes and trains and was chilly when temps dropped at night just recommend being better prepared then we were.

I want to badly to give this place 5 stars! So close to the park entrance. Tents are wonderful, bed is so so comfortable! However, the water and bathrooms are unreliable. The water (if working) in the shower runs about 10 seconds hot then 10 seconds cold with a pull cord. The last morning I was there something was backed up and the showers and bathrooms smelled horrible. I had touched base and told them about it and it was resolved but it happened more than once. Also do not like that there is no one running the camp present in person for questions or problems. No camp store or resources. Expedia page states there is breakfast but there is no food or resources on premise. Just plan for rural and unavailable showers/water.

Overall this was a nice place to stay. Suggestions would be to have actual spaces for people to park. Also, somehow having a way to inform other guests that the tent is occupied. The tents were poorly labeled and I had two other people try to come into my tent. Clean up the shrubs and overgrown areas at least around the tents.

Well, we were a little disappointed. The location was different from the pictures which wasn’t too much of problem because it was still beautiful. Although, there was no light inside the tent. The only lamp they gave you was a solar power lamp that was useless, your iPhone flashlight was better. Then there were fans inside the tent that were usb powered… But nothing was given to power it. Then comes the outhouse. The outhouse was a construction site with the toilet paper on the floor. Then we get to the showers, no clear instructions on how to moderate the temperature, it was either freezing cold or scolding hot. You had to hold down the shower handle with your hand. Showers were not clean - used soap bars were left behind - dirty floors - and gross yellow stain on shower floor. Online it says that breakfast is complimentary but that was not included so just some confusion with that being stated online. Otherwise the bed was very comfortable, although the sheets were not clean the pillowcases were covered in stains. Really wish the showers, bathroom and light situation had been communicated before hand! Thank you
