Immerso Hotel, a Member of Design Hotels

Immerso exceeded expectations in nearly every way during my five-night stay. The setting, the design, and the service were the highlights. What worked well for me: Location The hotel sits in the hills above Ericeira with open ocean views. Lisbon is close enough for an easy start or end to a trip. You will still want a car or rides to reach town and beaches, but rideshare was easy to use during my stay. Design The design made unplugging easy. The property is laid out in a way that encourages decompressing, and the common areas are comfortable enough that you actually want to spend time in them. The Design Hotels property designation was well-deserved. Room My suite was comfortable in a practical, lived-in way. The layout was generous. The terrace and large openings brought in the landscape and made the room feel bigger and more relaxed, and it was one of the few hotel terraces I actually used. Service Service was exceptional. It was attentive without constant check-ins, and the team handled details in a way that felt natural rather than scripted. The team consistently remembered our room number, pool service was attentive without being invasive, and housekeeping was discreet and aligned with our schedule. Turndown included small, thoughtful touches that made the room feel reset for the evening. Food and drink Lunch was the standout. Fresh seafood prepared outdoors over an open wood grill made it feel like a proper coastal meal rather than standard hotel food. Dinner at Emme still felt relaxed, but the cooking is serious (I believe Alexandre Silva of LOCO in Lisbon is involved) , and the wine list was thoughtful and well priced. If you plan to dine on property, it’s worth having dinner outdoors at least once. Breakfast followed the usual European buffet plus included menu format and was excellent (especially the pastries). I look forward to returning to Immerso and recommend it without hesitation.

We really enjoyed our one night stay here, making sure we got time in the pool and spa and a walk around the property.

We feel like the whole experience was very overpriced, and we went at the end of summer when prices were more affordable. It really felt like they were closing down for winter.

The hotel is located in a stunning spot with an incredible view — it captivates you right away. The restaurant is good, and the breakfasts are excellent: everything is fresh and varied. There's a great pool with clean water and comfortable sun loungers, and the grounds are well-maintained with a spacious sports court

The staff can be quite slow: waiting at the reception or in the restaurant sometimes drags on. The bathroom was disappointing — the shower and toilet are combined in a very inconvenient layout, and the bathroom doors are simply awful: they creak, jam, and are hard to open and close. There is no bidet at all. The spa and pool are located at opposite ends of the hotel — to get from one to the other, you have to walk halfway across the hotel through corridors, with no direct access. Sound insulation between rooms is very poor — you can hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms. It's a shame that such little things spoil the overall impression.
