Blairgowrie Luxury 3 Bed Lodge with Hot Tub

Beautifully appointed property, great facilities providing home from home accommodation. Great base for touring the area, 40 mins in nearly every direction is absolutely stunning. (And no midges this side of Scotland in August school holiday!) Being based in a small town we had access to a large supermarket, which is good when travelling with a child with specific dietary needs. We could make a packed lunch every day, and not run the risk of allergy issues with cafes.

It is set back from road, but unfortunately the road is busy and noisy. There is a small patio but no garden or outside space. But I did see the Northern Lights from the patio!

Very comfortable and well-furnished/well-equipped. Great showers with a very good flow of hot water The quick 30 minute program on the dishwasher was very effective

1. No wall-mounted toilet roll holders, only floor standing poles designed to store spare rolls. These are difficult to access when there is only one roll left. 2. None of the out of date food left by previous visitors had been removed. There were around 20 items in the cupboards that had expired best before or use by dates, some dating back to 2022. I appreciate the lodge is probably newer than that and that some items will have been brought by other guests but I think the cleaners should check and remove these. This certainly applies to fresh food like the loaf of bread we found which was entirely covered in blue and white mould and had clearly been there for some weeks. 3. The lodge is very warm and the duvets were too thick/too hot for this time of year. We had a couple of uncomfortable nights 4. The hot tub sounded great and, after some initial problems were quickly sorted out by the caretaker, we got it going. However, before it was up to temperature, we found that the smell of smoke from the wood burning heater was overwhelming the lodge, with the windows open due to the warm weather. We also thought it was unfair to inflict the smoke on the neighbouring lodge, which is quite close to the tub, and so decided not to use it and shut it down.

This is an extraodrinary accomodation. Lots of space, lovely furniture, modern kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, parking lot in front of the house, just perfect!

Lots of groceries in the cupboards were outdated. No problem, we are adults and can read... :-)

My family spent Christmas here and it was magical, couldn't ask for better hosts. The cabin was beautiful with everything we needed even a Christmas tree. The owners are so so nice and we will definitely be going back one day.
