Santa María Briones

This fabulous small hotel is located in the centre of a medieval village surrounded by the vineyards of La Rioja. We found it easily on satnav and the parking was nearby and free although they do have some pay onsite parking if you prefer. Friendly and helpful welcome. Our room was contemporary and very comfortable with far reaching views of the surrounding countryside. This hotel maybe ‘boutique’ but doesn’t lack for facilities. Be sure to dine in their restaurant, we had a delicious dinner both nights of our stay. Not forgetting the great negronis in the comfortable lounge beforehand. Breakfast is special. Served by charming staff - do not miss it! Be sure to explore the lovely square and church just 2 minutes walk away. Highly recommend this delightful and unique hotel.

A very elegant hotel where every detail has been meticulously thought out. The room, breakfast, and dinner in the restaurant were wonderful. The service quality was also excellent. We can't thank you enough for everything. I and my husband highly recommend it to travelers who appreciate elegant details in their travel experiences.

Room was generally rather dusty. Mirrors need a good clean. Mattress protector had stains.
