"Great venue, bar food needs more work"

6.0

Great Venue, good atmosphere and very clean and fabulous decor. However myself and my family decided to go for lunch over the bank holiday weekend. It was not very busy at this time and we found it very difficult to get a drink as there seemed to be no staff at the bar. Eventually a manager had seen me and ask did I need anything, I explained we just wanted to order drinks. She said she will go look for the bar man but eventually had to serve us herself. The food in Jaspers restaurant is lovely as I have been to the restaurant before, however the food in the crown bar is awful. Myself and my brother had the chicken bugers that tasted like they where re heated. My mother had the nachos and my sister had the lasagne with this awful cheese poured on top of it. Very cheap distasteful ingredients. Overall the the venue is great and location is great, however the food and staff really need to be focused on.

"A real find in Wexford with a warm welcome."

8.0

The location is very handy to the train station and easy to find. It's not a conventional hotel, they informed us, with a busy bar and music venue at the weekend. As we stayed on Wednesday and Thursday that didn't affect our stay. Check-in was simple and quick. The rooms are on the third floor, modern and well furnished in a boutique style. We had a view from our room of the quay in the distance. We were able to lie in bed and watch the preparations for the Maritime Festival at the weekend. The shower and toiletries provided are of a very high standard. We had excellent food in the spacious bar on our first night which has a good menu and a friendly and comfortable vibe. After a lovely day around Wexford on Thursday, we chose Jasper's restaurant for my birthday treat. It was super and I really enjoyed my meal which was great value and served by the friendly and relaxed staff. Check-out next morning was twelve o'clock so we had time for another wander around the interesting streets of Wexford and a quick breakfast before collecting our bags and heading for the train home.

We had to remove the duvet from its cover as we were too warm at night. We were able to open the window for fresh air which helped.

"Great stay will come again, thank you to the staff"

10.0

Everything required was there

The parking of the motor bike did not seem secure, catching the ferry next morning was a bit of a worry if anything happened
