100 Princes Street

We cannot speak highly enough of our stay at 100 Princes Street. All of the hotel staff were so lovely. Nothing was too much bother, everyone knew us by name. Everyone was polite, friendly, and helpful. We had a medical issue whilst there and the personalized assistance and guidance for medical attention was excellent. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Beautifully appointed and in a great location. The restaurant was excellent. We are looking forward to returning. 100 Princes Street Edinburgh made our trip very special.

We stayed at 100 Princes Street nearly a year ago and I think about it all the time as the best hotel experience of my life thus far. We have spent similar amounts per night for rooms before, and they have never, until 100 Princes Street, made us feel as if every bit of the cost was worth it. The room was impeccable. I am usually picky about room cleanliness and I couldn't find a single thing overlooked in our Castle View room. Spotless. We were visiting from America and staying for my birthday, and there was a thoughtful cake in our room upon arrival. The employees all worked hard to personalize our stay and we felt very cared for. There were so many thoughtful touches, like the nightly bedtime sweets, the umbrellas to borrow, and there was even a time when I left a charging cord on the dressing table and came back to found it had been wrapped up and tied neatly with tartan ribbon. I think there was one time we opened the door to outside ourselves, every other time someone opened the door for us. The food and coffee were delicious as well. Every detail in terms of decor was intentional and beautiful. I hope to stay at more Red Carnation Hotels in the future. Well worth it.

Wonderful little family break and lucky to have stayed is this amazing hotel. Truly spectacular views, amazing food & drink, stunning interiors but the real standout is the staff! They were ALL so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. It was our first time travelling with our 6 month old so we were alittle nervous but didn't need to be as everyone at the hotel took care of everything! Thank you 100 Princes Street

I liked how exclusive it was and that only guests could be invited under the property. The views from the room were spectacular. I loved the theme of the hotel and the history behind it. I love the staff in the tartan uniforms. I love that it’s in the middle of Prince Street so getting to old town is super accessible. I love the boutique style of the hotel. They provide excellent service and are super accommodating to food allergies. For being right in the center of new town the soundproofing on the rooms was excellent. Vans, police sirens, fire sirens and buses would go by and we barely heard any noise.

The only negative I would give about the property is that the trash cans are rather small and they could be larger. There is a distinctive scent that we noticed most of the hotels use when you enter that could be changed to something else. It smells a bit like an old lady.

Extraordinary hotel! After a bit of a wet but quick walk from the train station I was greeted at the door by David who had the warmest smile and who ushered me straight to reception. The pictures show a chic design forward hotel but in person it is even more fabulous. Every single staff member is friendly and helpful and each and every design feature is well thought out and eye candy. I am so glad I splurged a bit to stay and was sorry to leave.

We had an excellent stay at 100 Princes Street. The accommodation and communal areas were all immaculate, opulent in design and extremely comfortable. The fantastic view of Edinburgh Castle from my bedroom porthole was the icing on the cake. Staff from doorman Neil to everyone else we crossed paths with were inherently friendly, polite and informative. We will return.
