Villa Zebra Hidden Gem with Private Pool, Billiard, Massage & Private Cook in Ubud

We liked the villa very much . The interior is very interesting. Persenal is very good . It was clean , cleaned every day .

The only disadvantage is that it is expensive and the location is not convenient. But for the sake of such a villa with such a price , you can skip . Dorogou is doing repairs .

So beautiful! so comfortable and the staff made it so relaxing! The staff were amazing especially Mustika who was so nice and always had a smile on his. He was very helpful with booking activities and drivers, always making sure we had everything we needed.

1. Breakfast on demand Breakfast was provided (eggs/smoothies/local fried noodles or rice) and cooked in-house by the housekeepers which was handy because it was difficult to get a ride out of the villa. (recommend to get some groceries like milk/yoghurt if guests have own needs). Host was very flexible in helping to arrange our breakfast to be served at lunch time if we sleep in or have other plans in the morning. 2. Swimming pool We believed that the pool was heated as it was really comfortable to use the pool at night even after a rainy afternoon. Good activity at the villa if you're not headed out at night. 3. Host We have a direct whatsapp number to contact the main PIC, Ayu who was friendly & kind to greet us to pass over the keys on arrival and arrange for any plans we might have. 4. Good facilities Good speakers are provided in the living room and in every bedroom; which was a real plus!

1. Location The location of this Villa (Zebra) is off the maps so most drivers cannot find it. Additionally, the road to this villa is extremely narrow & challenging for a big vehicle (5to 7 seater) that is commonly used to ferry passengers through and from the airport. The pathway from the main road to this villa was partly made of properly paved road and the other half was just unpaved pathway with exposed earth and sedimentary rocks. It's easier to get a ride in but hard to get a last minute ride out of the villa on your own. But you can arrange it with the help of the host for a taxi ride out/in. Ordering food in on Gofood (gojek's counterpart) was easier because they are delivered via motorcyclists. 2. Decorations Felt that there were too many decorative items (paintings/ sculptures of animals/ human/ Buddha faces) in the rooms and communal space which can be overwhelming for people who are used to clean spaces in general; which also caused a little uncomfort at night. 3. Living room ventilation The living room only has one overhead fan above the dining table., while the TV/sofa area has nothing. The only way to ventilate the sofa area was to open the big windows and doors which will then allow more mozzies to come in. Not ideal. The host does not have additional fans so we requested for more mosquito coils and opened up all the doors.

breakfast is good, room is new and clean, hot water available, quiet surrounding.

the road to the villa is extremely bad, about 1km from the main road, consist of 200 meters of very narrow road with walls (i scratch innova car on the way to the villa, they say innova can access but i suggest avanza or smaller), 400 meters of very narrow and steep road, 400 meters of dirt and mud road (no permanent road available). Don’t come in the middle of the night because no street lightning.

The rooms were clean, but the outdoor furniture were not usable. They were dusty and had many insect/lizard droppings everywhere. Hot water does not work when 2 or more rooms were taking showers at the same time. The villa was hard to get into, definitely not walkable in my opinion, the car that got us into the villa barely could get through the narrow alleyway.
