Cozy 2BR Near UT Hyde Park Evonify

I made a complaint the pool was not clean and instead of sending a pool man they through one bag of shock and within 2 days it’s GREEN and slimy and not safe to swim. The bacterial infection to ones ears or the kids ears could be traced back to the pool use. I called about the child above us having a party jumping and running excessively LOUD and they ask if I could record it….really I’m a travel nurse who works nights but you want me to record a wild child during the day! Also I stayed 4 days and they took a cleaning fee and then I rebooked prior to our arriving to the place for 7 additional days and no one came to clean between stays. A guy came to clean but when he found out we extended he took off! Being Non Refundable we felt trapped!

I really want to recommend this apartment because it’s spacious, nice inside, great location but whoever does the maintenance is lacking. Pro: great location Lots of space Lots of parking off street Full Kitchen Good internet Con: A two bedroom apt with kitchen has only 2 dinner plates? Bring your own plates and cups and forks. Washer and dryer in apartment stop working after two minutes and leave you with wet soaked clothes Washer and dryer in back of apartment building has no lights and several machines do not work. You find out after you used up your coins Cleaning is lacking as you see by thick dust layer on top of fridge Remotes for ceiling fan missing so you cant switch it off One chair had broken leg On several days the shower stayed cold even after running it for ten minutes Noisy trampling neighbors above who party and wake up the house I guess are unavoidable You get entrance code only three days before, so make sure you have internet and don’t miss the email Entry keypad system froze up a few times. Maybe because the batteries are only held in by tape. Luckily my partner was still Inside and could open the door. As said it’s a good apartment but the owner should talk to the maintenance crew and the cleaners. After all he pays them and they don’t do their job.

Infested with large roaches and ants, smelled like something died in the vents the bathroom, and then my bedroom just flooded. Actually the absolute worst experience.

Let me start with the positives: The beds were actually comfortable. The internet was fast and the TV was pretty good. The location was pretty good and fairly close to UT and the covered parking was a nice touch once we found it. Google maps took us to the wrong area, but that is not a knock against the location. Here is where the negatives start: The location was NOT clean; we walked in and the sofas had stuff on them, the bathroom had not been swept and I am not sure the entire apartment had been swept or vacuumed. Our biggest complaint is that the AC is exceptionally loud, it rattles something fierce and you luckily can close the door to the living room to be able to watch TV. Also, we could basically hear our upstairs neighbor's conversations as well as movies and music. The shower curtain in the bathroom had mold on it and needs to be replaced. The sofa in the living room has a serious divot in the middle and would recommend replacing it as well. We will definitely not be staying here again and would not recommend anyone else stay there until the AC and cleanliness are resolved. Just my two cents. Thanks.
