The hotel was clean, spacious and lively but quiet

I had on-going issues with house keeping, it’s was a real shame as everything else has great. There is a clear failure to follow up with problems or issues, each time I called it was like they had no record of my requests. I had to rang house keeping on multi-occasions for the same issues - if I told them 3 issues - only 1 would be remembered or resolved ( so each issue requirement its own phone call). Issues: 1. broken Ironing board - replaced 2. broken iron - replaced 3. Broken shower switch system - called and asked twice - they never came! 4. Front door not locking - I realised few days into my stay that my front door wasn’t actually locking unless it was SLAMMED HARD. It was around 8pm but a handy man came out and said they would have to change or sand down the door completely as the door was the wrong size/shape(?). This would take some hours so they offered to move me but I’d been in the room for a few days and already unpacked 2 large suitcases as it was hugely inconvenient and time consuming. I suggested they came back the next day - when I was out of the hotel all day to repair. We agree on a time of 12pm but of course they never came back or repaired the door or contacted me. At this point I’d given up that there was follow up protocol for the house keeping team. It seemed as though once workers shifts changed, any previous requests were forgotten or not communicated to new staff members. It was very tiresome. 5. Clogged Shower drain extremely slow draining - I was showering standing in day old cold water each day - but at this point I’d given up on calling house keeping everyday just for them to not have any record or idea of what I had previously requested and STILL not to show up or have any accountability. I can’t make the same complaint 3 times?! 6. I had to kill a baby cockroach in the shower when I checked in, fortunately I didn’t see any more critters while there but it left me on edge.
