It was an amazing hotel — truly a hidden paradise. You could stay there just to enjoy the beautiful garden alone. The rooms were very spacious and felt brand new. Everything was exceptionally clean. Breakfast had plenty of options and was very satisfying. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly. We will definitely go back!

Lo más destacable el personal y al frente EMILIO, fueron encantadores, muy amables y muy agradables. Las vistas sobre el rio Duero son impresionantes. Se respira tranquilidad, paz y serenidad; el sonido de la fuente junto a una buena cerveza después de un largo día de visitas por Oporto es el paraíso. El invernadero en medio del jardín acondicionado como lugar para desayunar me parece todo un acierto. El desayuno sencillo y elaborado con mucho cariño, detalle por Consuelo (creo).

Wonderful place with a ver nice garden looking at the Douro. Rooms were very clean, nice and warm, and very quiet. Very close to the Alfandega congress centre (I was there for work), and 10 min walking from the city centre. I did not try the breakfast, but the breafast room is a very nice building in the middle of the garden

Excellent location to stay in Porto: central, on the one hand, but quiet, on the other. Rebeira, the Stock Exchange, St. Francisco Church, the Cathedral are within walking distance, but on a hilly terrain. The hotel is located in an XIX century mansion with a beautiful garden. The building is well renovated inside and equipped with antique furnishings. A very well managed hotel. The staff, led by Kalif, is professional and forthcoming with advice and help with the itinerary, delicate car parking situations and traffic, restaurant reservations, etc. Raffael, the owner, runs periodic happy hour gatherings with guests, neighbors and friends which we attended with pleasure.

Well, Porto is sitting on steep hills and the hotel is on the slope leading to Rebeira. If you have mobility problems look outside of Porto. But if you are in, ask Kalif which streets and passages are equipped with elevators (there are two sequential) to clime from the river to the hotel with less effort.
