Viking Lodge Motel

A beautiful quiet property on the beach with lots of outdoor chairs and a lovely deck area, with adequate rooms, but lacking any windows aside from the glass door, lacking watchable TV with no news or sport channels, and no ice.

Nice surprise! Cute, quiet, view, cozy, waterfront. Best sleep this whole trip. Self check-in, no one around if things didn’t work like our coffee maker, but that’s okay, the stay was lovely.

We enjoyed the view of the water. Breakfast room was well stocked with raw fruit, a variety of juices, regular and decaf coffee, milk, creamer and almond milk. There were several cold and hot cereals, of muffins, tea biscuits and bread for toast. It is a reasonable drive to restaurants, groceries, whale and iceberg viewing as well as L’Anse aux Meadows and Norstead.

Nice place, comfortable. Off the road a bit, but that gives you a lovely peaceful view of the bay. Friendly owners.
