Hotel Finca San Nicolas

There were some pros and cons that make it tricky to review. They asked upon booking what time we will be arriving and I said 2 or 3 and we arrived at 2:45. They told us they didn’t have any rooms cleaned yet and we would have to come back in 45 minutes. That started it all off poorly. Explain to me how you knew what time I was coming, check out time is 11 and at 2:45 no rooms were clean? They could have called to let us know or provided us with a drink while we wait. They don’t understand customer service at all. Good things: Shower was great with consistent hot water and good pressure. Breakfast in the garden was nice. Room is tiny but clean. Bed was comfortable and even though there was an event the noise levels were ok. Parking was a nightmare and we got blocked in for 20 minutes trying to leave. The driveway needs to be repaired. Basically the check in and check out of our trip was annoying but the stay itself was good. Overall, they need to work on their customer service more than the hotel itself. It is a pretty location with nice views and has a peaceful vibe.

It was too noisy late after midnight, people yeiling, my room was 101 too much traffic around noisy early in the morning.

Nice hotel at a good price. I reserved room w double queen beds. It was neat and comfortable. My friends and I enjoyed pool for lounging and drinking. Really enjoyed their coffee and breakfast. Dining area pretty and out in the open. Staff was helpful. My family and I especially liked Sandra, one of the servers, she was so sweet and friendly. My only recommendation would be more help when serving breakfast. However there was a Wedding party staying so they were really busy. Overall I would love to stay here again. Definitely recommend

The best thing- location as it is surrounded by fruit trees and vegetation. And there is cool breeze. There is not clear signage at the entrance. The gate is green and it is difficult to spot. We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready and it is understood. And wanted to have lunch after a long flight and … the restaurant only open for breakfast. We had to order out. The room had evidence of previous guests. The rooms are small, it is good for two people. And the hotel needs maintenance. The shower was slow to drain. This is a Hotel- and upon checking out, the front desk person asked us to wait while she would go and check the room. Only cheap motels do this when paying cash. We had book through a Travel Partner. I would give another try in a year or so. My recommendation is to call ahead and ask about the restaurant’s hours. It has the potential to be a great hotel- hope management is open to the feedback through reviews.

poor room service, poor cuatomer service, toilet needs not provided, not worth the price!

The place is good but the have issues like sewer smelling bathroom, leaking hallway, slow draining shower, never replace towels unless you ask for etc etc
