Eastwind Hotel Lake Placid

This establishment is beautiful, peaceful and feels like a nature gateway, close to the city (Lake Placid). Location is great. The staff was VERY friendly. Loved the decoration. Very cozy and good price during shoulder season. Hope to go back one day !

the location and it was very calm, offering different things, like sauna, fire, pool etc

They serve coffee but it starts at 8am? We even asked for earlier since we were gonna go hike all day but they were rude about it. I think it should be earlier

The room and the bathroom were very spacious. Everything was esthetically pleasing and looked great.

I was prompted by a review to look under the bed to make sure nothing was left from a previous person. I found trash and a partially full water bottle. I also, opened the fridge and freezer and found a partially eaten frozen chocolate bar. The bathroom was very esthetically pleasing and looked great. However, I am a tall person maybe around 6'3", I had trouble standing under the shower head without having to tilt it up. This caused the water to spray out passed the piece of glass they had placed to keep water in the shower area. Only other things for me the trash can was very small. Some of the fittings didnt look like they had been finished correctly.

The accommodations felt very welcoming. The design was very unique. It was clear there was a lot of thought put into each room as well as the amenities. It was a very comfortable stay. It was clean, and the staff was friendly.

I can appreciate the lack of a television. I just wasn’t expecting it even though it’s not listed, but had we had a TV we probably would not have sat out by the fire so it’s not necessarily. I didn’t like the lack of I guess it just threw me off, but I appreciate it. I thought the food options were a little pricey. And the parking was very tricky, especially if you get in later at night.
