Flying Flags Avila Beach

It’s absolutely the most beautiful place to stay, the fire pit and Adirondack chairs are great! It’s clean and walking distance to the pier and beaches.

The couch in living room is very small and uncomfortable, the bed is quite small and loud every time you move.

No night room service such as requesting more sugar and coffee

The quietness of the evening with just the sound of waves and fire pit was such a relaxing experience.

Nothing to complain of

I stayed in a thoughtfully designed cottage where nearly every detail was considered, though I wish the website had provided a more complete list of amenities so I could have packed less.

While I had requested a beach-facing unit, mine faced a busy road with constant traffic, which detracted from the otherwise peaceful atmosphere shared by like-minded guests. Although the location near Avila Beach is beautiful and well maintained, I was disappointed to learn that Flying Flags is situated next to Diablo Canyon Power Plant—something I believe should be clearly disclosed so guests can make a fully informed decision.
