The only I didn’t like it I couldn’t make it any booking for more days to stay

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience following an accident I had at the hotel. During my stay, I suffered a significant fall on the hotel premises which resulted in a serious facial injury, extensive bruising, swelling and considerable distress during what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. While I completely understand that accidents can happen, I was extremely disappointed by how the situation was handled afterwards. There appeared to be no accident reporting procedure in place. No accident report was completed, there was no visible warning signage or tape around the area to highlight the hazard, and no effort was made to investigate or document what had happened. Given that the accident occurred on hotel property, I would have expected basic health and safety procedures to be followed. What was most disappointing was the lack of care and concern shown by reception staff. There was very little empathy, no follow-up to check on my wellbeing, and no gesture whatsoever to acknowledge what had happened. Even a simple check-in, assistance, or expression of concern would have gone a long way. I appreciate that the accident itself may not have been intentional, but guest safety and the handling of incidents are the responsibility of the hotel. The lack of support, communication and basic reporting procedures left me feeling that the situation was not taken seriously. I hope the hotel reviews its health and safety processes to ensure future guests receive better support should something similar happen.
