Le Nomade MTL

Apartment seemed somewhat modern. It was close to a lot of popular landmarks and restaurants.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE! Such a scam! BUGS! So many bugs. Ants, so many house cockroaches (which are way creepier than normal cockroaches) spiders! So many spiders. They were all over the entrance of the apartment building. It made it impossible to relax because we constantly had to check rooms for super disgusting bugs and spiders. My daughters were very scared to sleep in living room on sleeper sofa because of it. And the management did NOTHING about it! They kept saying we would be contacted to resolve the issue, and just never did anything about it! It was just a horrible experience all around. We fully expect a partial refund. But from what we have experienced thus far- they have no intention of making things right. Also- there was so much noise right outside of apartment. Just something to consider. The dryer didn’t work at all! I had to lay out clothes and air dry everything. The elevator smelled like legit garbage. All of us had to cover our faces just to get through the time in the elevator. And this happened EVERYTIME we used elevator. Overall- I highly suggest NOT using this apartment company!!!

Absolutely nothing

It was an abandoned property. There was no lobby, no reception desk, and no staff. There was a vacant office and debris in the stairwells. It was clearly under renovation and unoccupied. When contacted by phone, staff said we were to go up the elevator to our unit. This was NOT stated in the instructions. We couldn’t be expected to know we were to get into an elevator in an abandoned building! We left as it was the only obvious option. They tried to say that the written instructions were explicit and refused to give us a refund!

The location was excellent

It was not clean. Some dishes and glasses were dirty, not washed, and were left in the cabinet. One of the bedroom floors was crawling with ants.

Bien situé, collé sur les attractions du Vieux Montréal. Disposition des pièces et fonctionnalités sont A1. 2 salles de bain, wow! Divan-lit très confortable. Rien à redire sur ce lit supplémentaire. Propreté impeccable.

En el mismo centro turístico de Montreal. Apartamento recién reformado y moderno. Con todas las comodidades como en tu casa. Entrada cómoda mediante código. Tuvimos un inconveniente y enseguida lo solucionaron. Muy recomendable.

Nothing

The wifi, the shower, and the toilet all functioned well at Le Nomade MTL. The air conditioning was robust, though when we arrived the remote to adjust the temperature was not working because it lacked a back to hold the batteries in place. A maintenance worker came and put a strip of duct tape to keep the batteries in place, but the tape was ineffective in always securing a circuit.

Disliked · When we booked the apartment at Le Nomade MTL a few weeks earlier, there was an offer of one free transportation from the airport, but when I asked for instructions explaining how to access the transportation, the owner replied that the offer was no longer being offered (There was no indication at Booking.com that the offer had an expiration date). It was only when we arrived in our unit that we discovered that the telephone number for maintenance in the letter from the owner Michael Eckleslassy was for a human being in the Philippines (!) who then needed to get in touch with a worker in Montreal, on the other side of the planet. The instructions for connecting to wifi, were incorrect—the instruction letter did not direct us to the correct router for our apartment. We were on the phone for about an hour with a person in the Philippines (!!), before together we realized and corrected the error in the letter. Then, on our second day, we saw in our unit that there was an infestation of ants which we immediately and repeatedly reported but was finally addressed only after three days. On our second to last day, it rained in Montreal, and water leaked from the roof of the building through the ceiling onto the bathroom floor. The person in the Philippines tried to reach someone in Montreal, but when she reported that she could not reach anyone to repair the leak, we went in search of a bucket to collect the leaking water. We encountered a maid who told us she would handle the crisis and advised us to go to dinner. When we returned from dinner the rain had stopped rained and the maid had cleaned the floor. In short, our experience at Le Nomade was quite disappointing, and there was absolutely no hint of anything to compensate us for the many troubles and inconveniences we had experienced at the property.
