Hotel Raices Machupicchu

Glad we choose this hotel: perfect location, good service, great breakfast buffet, close to everything-imcluding the line to get into the bus that takes you to the ruins, great beds, enough room for two, decent tv in English and Spanish, good wifi. All rooms and elevators look very nice. Staff was friendly.

Excellent service in an amazing location. The town is small so most of the hotels will be in a great location. It was a little noisy at night but I suspect that's Aguas Calientes on the whole.

Perfect location for amazing view and 2 mins tops to any restaurant, barbershop, or market. There’s a bar on the second floor too.

Very good staff!

We booked this hotel for a quick stop-over to visit Machu Picchu. We were disappointed to know that breakfast is from 5-8:30 am ONLY. Also disappointed to know that they require a 10 am check-out. We had late access to visit Machu and any minute (check-out) past 10 a.m. required 60 soles additional charge. Breakfast was sub-par. They did cook us fresh eggs and we had some rolls so I suppose it was satisfactory for what we paid for the room rate. The only upside is the proximity to the buses and train station. Its a very short and easy walk. There is a dance club next door and was booming bass until 2 a.m. That was annoying as well. Overall, I'd look for another hotel next time. If you're looking for a budget place to stay then maybe this is your place. For $50 USD don't expect too much....a bed to sleep in, a shower that was lukewarm, and a sub par breakfast. Just make sure you check out before 10 a.m. And bring your ear plugs if you pay extra to face the river and dance club.

The experience was saved by a kind and helpful staff, but the condition of the hotel is very lacking.

Good breakfast, friendly and staff. Great views. Lots of good food abounds. Gave us a sack lunch for our Machu Picchu day. Only problem: Shower was impossible to use without getting water all over the bathroom floor which did not drain to the floor drain and no squeegee was provided.

We stayed one night. Everything was excellent!!! Especially the service at the front desk and breakfast!!!
