Roas Hotel Bodrum - City Center

The staff was most courteous and helpful which made our stay of 4 days so comfortable. Mr. Serkan recommended and arranged a fantastic boat tour for us, along with other things-to-do. Orçan was the most gentle soul who served us breakfast every morning with such warmth and great service. Yarprak and Hans at the reception were exceptional. The location is fantastic. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants and the bus stop. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Th ebast thing Iliked was the ability to check in and check out almost any time - we checked in early and checked out a little late, gaining at least half an hour on the regular timings elsewhere. The location of this hotel is good - very quiet and at the same time very close to the beach with all the life happaning. The beach just down the road of Hotel Ambrosia is a Blue flag Beach as was perfect in all the ways. The view from the room was good - of the bay - even though covered by two large palm trees. Spacious (bedroom separate from living room), the pool is small but clean and refreshing. The staff were all very freindly and helpful.

There are no good restaurants nearby, you have to walk for 20mins or so on the roads (no pavements) or take a taxi to the centre. Breakfast was ok, although not possible to customize (just Turkish style with bits sweet, savory etc. sort of just thrown together on a tray) and espresso machine coffee costs extra. The restaurant is empty the other times, I was not sure if they serve dinners or not at all. Also the restaurant had roof closed the entire time so it does not look as magnificent as in the pictures, just a simple building. One day we wanted to fill up the jacuzzi in the balcony - water pressure is low(ish) so it takes a long time, be ready! the lights in the jacuzzi were broken so there was no lights at all and afterwards they accidentally came on and were stuck even after we drained hte bathtub - had to report it to the reception the next day. The bathroom could do with a makeover but everything was functional.

We were a group of 4 people so we have booked family room. The place was really nice. The breakfast was interesting and enough everyday. The view is amazing. The Area is calm. We have rented a car which was good decision. Staff are really friendly specifically Serkan. He booked a boat trip which was really nice. Staff can talk in English so easy to communicate with them.

The staff is very kind and ready to help with anything. You can reach great public beach in 10 minutes walk. Due to nature relief (Bodrum is quite hilly) the way from the beach will be up the hill. You can reach Gumbet beach and city center by bus. The bus stop located in 3 minutes walk. The room was fine - AC, hot water in bathroom and small fridge worked as expected. The restaurant has a magnificent view. Wi-fi is stable and fast enough.

The included breakfast was the same every day. You'll get eggs served to your taste (omelet with vegetables or cheese, fried eggs), plate with vegetables, 1 pancake per person, 2 baby potatoes, green and black olives, bread basket with various additions (Nutella, 2 sorts of jam, honey, veggie spread), cheese plate with raisins and walnuts. You will also be offerred tea or coffee. Overall the breakfast is good and we never were hungry, but it would be nice to get a little diversity for a long stays.

Comfort & location

Upon arrival we was greeted by a young gentleman he was polite however he couldn’t speak much English. The manager then approached, when I was trying to confirm the room I booked he came across a bit arrogant. Little information was given by him. On booking.com there are no details about the stairs there was 55 steps to our room, felt like a workout every time we came back to the hotel, and to carry a suitcase up and down was a disaster!! On check out there was no one at reception only a contact number wen I called it was the manager he came to the reception still half asleep in is PJ telling me if there’s no payment you can leave the key and go, I was a bit surprised about this he wasn’t friendly or kind what so ever. I booked this hotel based on the reviews and it seems majority of the reviews are fake because nothing matched the reviews, very disappointing. Reviews also mentioned about the quality of the food like I mentioned before seemed like they were all fake because the food was disappointing too.
