"Great host, good facilities, family friendly."

Great host and ideally placed right at the start of the Humpridge track. We booked a room with a queen bed and another with 4 bunks, both were very comfortable. Clean and tidy with good facilities. Good car park right beside the lodge to leave your car in while walking the track.

Very nice people and lovely dogs Jelly and Molly

They are slowly doing up the lodge, this is needed as it is on the older side. It is clean though but just needs work. We didn’t mind this at all as the welcoming nature made up for it all

Lots of personal care by owner and this made the stay enjoyable and memorable. I had a free upgrade to the deluxe room too! Excellent amenities for the venue and room was warm - catered for by a good heater. I rate this place highly, if you want a bit of time out of town for a nature retreat and quiet space. Many thanks and blessings!

"Bet hiking lodge in Tui"

Best hiking lodge in Tui. Right at the trailhead. Free parking, free showers, free drinks. They've even got a dog that plays soccer!

Blake was super friendly and attentive to our needs. Gave us a room upgrade and made sure we were comfortable. Got up early to light the fire in common area before we got up. He also welcomed us back after our 3 day hike and offered cold drinks or ice cream.

Bit draughty in the bathrooms but good hot showers. Some areas could benefit from some general maintenance.

"A Beautiful place for budget friendly adventurers!"

The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal! Such a great addition and great value for money for young travellers on tight budgets. My room was amazing and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Will definitely be coming back when it's time for another tramping escapade!
