The Smith Hotel

we had a great stay at the smith hotel with a 2 room loft style with exposed stone walls, polished concrete floor and everything needed as if you lived there. the kitchen had everything you would need and the bed was very comfortable. only issue was the blinds when closed in the upper room would also cut out the light in the living/kitchen area below and not a big issue, the patio was full of leaves (it is fall, we know), but not cleaned for use during the warmer day we had.

This was by far the coolest hotel we have ever stayed at! Weekend away without the kids, and this place was just perfect for our getaway. Heritage building mixed with modern day style and amenities was breathraking. We will be back again soon!

Such an unusual place to stay. The apartment was beautifully done and very well equipped. Just off the main road, so very easy to walk to. Having a parking space too was a big plus.

Loved all the little touches - kitchen with quality, useful equipment and tools, speaker and record player were fun. Beds were very comfortable. Very pleasant experience and the location was very handy. Only thing we would change is increased air circulation - didn't really need it colder but needed more airflow as the air had a tendency to get kinda stale. Info on how to achieve this would be useful in the guest book.

A wonderful overnight stay... very nice linens/toiletries (had to buy myself some that were delivered prior to our departure) the only negative. No corkscrew so i had to go buy one to enjoy a bottle of wine i had brought with me. No biggy. Would not hesitate to recommend staying here... currently at the Marriot Hotel in old Montreal and all i feel is sad it isnt the Smith Hotel. Whoever designed the loft (#7) nailed it

A truly exceptional property. So cool. And super reasonably priced snacks and drinks. Definitely staying again.

loved the exposed stone. loft concept. modern decor. comfy bed. great shower. robes! full kitchen. walkable location. workspace upstairs as an option for remote work. decent parking. netflix and amazon prime free. great customer service- very quick to reply by text message. got late checkout! and extra coffee.

no amenities- could really use a gym. no natural light. very dark inside our room. no view. keys and codes a bit complicated. pricey for Kingston but very nice. cement floors are slippery. be careful could be dangerous. all the drinks in the fridge were alcoholic. could have used some non alcoholic options. would be nice to have regular TV channels.
