Hostal Es Niu de Tamariu

El desayuno estuvo fenomenal.

Location was great, just off the seafront a few minutes walk. The building has a light airy feel to it. The communal garden and breakfast areas are pleasant with bleached wood and comfy seating. The bed was large and comfortable. We had a little terrace with a table and chairs and somewhere to hang wet towels. We didn't have breakfast as it 15 euros each it felt quite expensive. Tea and coffee is available in the communal area but not kettle in rooms. A place to fill your bottle with cold water is available in the communal area. There is a roof terrace with a couple of sun loungers, but it's quite sparse.

A few negatives. The listing states there is a washing machine but we were told on arrival that there isn't and we had to go to the laundrette in Palafrugell. I tried handwashing in the sink but the plug didn't stay down which was frustrating. The walls are very thin and we had very noisy people in the rooms either side of us. One room had 3 girls in who were screaming and screeching into the early hours. The next room had people sat smoking on their balcony til late at night and we had to keep the door closed for the noise and smell, as the balconies are right next to each other with not much partition. The listing states soundproofing but that really isn't accurate. The staff were a little aloof, not particularly welcoming. The girl who checked us in didn't even tell us about the roof terrace, we didn't know it was there until we saw the arrow on the wall pointing upstairs. Reception closes at 5pm and then there are no staff on site.

Hôtel très bien placé dans la crique de Tamariu, très bien équipé , accueil parfait et très très bons petits déjeuners

Particulièrement le petit déjeuner et la gentillesse du personnel
