Doghouse Margate

The room was comfortable an had every little detail thought through. Breakfast options were great and the food itself was of restaurant quality.

Very small detail, but would have been better if there was a larger dustbin in the room.

Excellent breakfast choices. Lovey hosts and a very warm welcome. Nothing too much trouble.

I think we arrived close to bin collection day so the street (but certainly not our accommodation) was a bit smelly and untidy.

The whole place was spotlessly clean, loved the simple yet stylish interiors, the owners and their customer service were excellent. Pleasant 20 minute walk into the town centre. A wonderful stay.

Very minor, but we would have liked our coffee and our room a bit darker! The room was very bright which was lovely in the day, but not so much at 5am!

The room was clean comfortable and beautifully decorated, the breakfast was superb. Mel and Fe are lovely hosts.

Friendly staff, lovely room, spotlessly clean. I loved the bathroom and shower! The breakfast was exceptional.

Every time I opened and closed the bathroom door, there was a noise.

We had an amazing stay at The Doghouse. Our hosts Fe and Mel couldn't do enough for us. Our dog didn't want to come home as she got handmade, personalised dog biscuits, a cooked breakfast and to play with their own dog Thierry when we took advantage of their dog sitting service. We stayed there with friends and they arranged for us to have our yummy breakfast together in the communal lounge which was lovely. The place was spotless, despite our dog and they'd thought of pretty much everything. The location is about 5 minutes from one of Margate's Lidos so we took the plunge each morning before breakfast and the dog had an amazing time on the beach. It's about a 25 minute walk into the town centre and Dreamland so we got our steps in, but there are also lots of nice bars, restaurants, quirky shops and coffee places very close by. Great stay. Will definitely go back.

The room we stayed in was immaculate, spacious and light and bright. The owner, Fe, was really welcoming, and checking in was super easy. Breakfast was so delicious! Parking was straightforward (and free) as there are no restrictions on the residential road. The location is fantastic. Cliftonville has a lovely high street worth exploring with good places to eat and drink. We were staying because of an event at Dreamland in Margate, which was about a 20min walk, meaning we didn't have to worry about taxis etc. Highly recommend a stay here!
