Very clean and tidy overall. The host is very responsive if you have questions. We enjoyed our time here.

As others have mentioned, the shower needs to be recaulked and a bit better drainage. It's really an easy fix. Overall, this place is lovely. I did read the previous reviews before I booked. Yeah, the stairs are a little steep coming down. But good luck finding an apartment in Portugal without steep stairs. The bed is reasonably comfy, the sofa, not so much, but how long are you really gonna spend on the sofa anyway? The coffee machine does not work properly, so I bought some instant coffee and left it behind.

The ad states that there is parking which is false. There is the possibility to park on the street, if there is availability. The property manager states that he has an agreement with a “close” by parking garage, which is located 1,2km from the apartment. Also it is only a small discount on parking for more than 10h… this statement of having parking is not correct, because if this is what they have then all the houses in Porto have the same parking. They do not have any parking!

The apartment had everything you could need and was located only 10 mins from the metro and 20 mins walk into the city. Jorge was very helpful and provided a smooth check in otocess and even left some bottled water and a bottle of wine to welcome us. He communcist3d really well and offered everything you would want from a host. The apartment was clean and had everything you need.

The apartment has a strange damp and musty smell, which disappears when windows are open. The garden area could also do with the grass being cut as it is a bit wild and doesn't look the best. However, the worst part about the apartment is that you can hear every footstep and every movement of furniture from the apartment above. You can also hear their muffled voices. It would be fine if it didn't go on every night until past midnight. It would also not be the end of the world if I wasn't travelling with my 6 year old boy who was trying to sleep. I appreciate that this is not the fault of the host who was great.

The property is really nice and in a very good location. Jorge was lovely enough to let us check in early. I always felt safe and within 10/15 minutes walk to the city centre. Supermarket 5 mins walk too. It's very spacious and the patio is great.

As soon as I got into the apartment there was a strong mouldy/musty smell I had to open all the windows and this helped. Upon a closer look in the bathroom you can see the lowers walls are full of mould but you can't really see as walls have been decorated in a way that it makes it difficult to see. The hot water was a danger halfway through my shower the water went from hot to scalding leaving me marked, it was extremely hot and I am so glad my little girl was not with me, so be careful if you have kids. The owner said the whole building shares the same tank which is fine but not acceptable for health and safety in my opinion. ... My biggest issue in this apartment was the ants. The first day you could see a few I didn't really mind as I thought maybe it's because we had the patio right there and these things can happen. The second night however after buying some brioche rolls which were closed and then inside a plastic supermarket bag, we returned to the apartment and there was ants everywhere, including inside the sealed bag of brioche eating away. I'm itching as I type this, there was long trails of them in the walls, chairs and unfortunately bed. I could not get into bed so therefore had no sleep I was glad to be leaving at 4am for the airport. The owner made it sound like he had no idea about this, yet the ant killer spray under the sink suggests otherwise. Theres also ants outside the front door and around the building corridor. Although a beautiful apartment I would not go back unless I wanted to play the itch and scratch game!
