Busan City Hotel

Charging me an early check fee was a big ripoff. Having visited more than 20 cities across the world I never paid an early check in fees. But for the first time in Busan City Hotel I had to pay. There was no warning while booking; they had an empty room. But it was just a money making trap. Too bad. And I was told there will be an 11k won per hour late check out fees. Most hotels happily accommodate as a nice gesture. Never visiting and never booking via this platform; asked for a sugar pouch; they had none and suggested we have coffee along with the paid breakfast. Left very nice and welcoming 😆😆

They have a huge bath tub, but there is no shower gel nearby if you are planning to take a bath. Just shampoo and conditioner. Weird arrangement.

The room is large, clean with friendly staff. The location is central and many restaurants nearby.

군더더기없는 깔끔함

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel was very easy to find and close to a station, which was great. The bed was pretty comfy and the pillows were good. The price is pretty good even though Busan is cheap, and for a city which is spread out very wide with the popular tourist destinations, this central location is a great place to work from. The room was very, very clean. It was nicer than I expected, overall!

The shower was very nice, but the floor/drain makes no sense. Even if the shower is not on full blast, the drain is not fast enough so the water doesn't spread over nearly 3/4 of the bathroom floor. The light near the bathroom also automatically comes on at night with motion, and it's quite bright. That would've been more annoying with multiple people. My A/C didn't stay on, so I woke up in the night very hot and sweaty because it didn't continually run. Also, I'm not sure if this was common but no laundry possibility except a service that takes *three days* was unfortunate.
