It was an authentic stay in a well preserved 100+ year old home. The bed was vey comfortable. We enjoyed the bathtub. The blinds were difficult to use, we were concerned about damaging them. Breakfast was satisfactory.

The bulbs in the overhead bathroom light were burned out when we arrived. They were promptly replaced. It’s an old property and we were uncertain about the cleanliness, some dust, etc. The switches on the lights are fragile. The two “candles” on the wall were fragile and wobbled. The closest door was stuck shut when we arrived. The person who changed the lights forced it open.

Beautiful setting. Clean and well kept. Relaxing y to o sit on the front porch.

Quaint, historic building with many antiques and fresh flowers. Lovely large bedroom with 4-poster king bed. Breakfast adequate with fresh fruit(, pastry, rolls, granola

Steep stairs to second floor bedroom. No eggs or waffles for breakfast.

Unique, nicely furnished. Nice change to typical hotel rooms. Large space. Owner very helpful.

No actual problems in surrounding areas but felt a little uneasy when walking out after dark.

It was quaint. It’s a very old house so it is very creaky. It was nice and quiet otherwise. There was a mixup in rooms with not much of an apology. Once I had unpacked I was told I needed to move to another room because new staff gave me a reserved room. All in all it was a nice place but not sure I would go back.

A wonderful little hotel in what was once a family home. The hotel has personality and a wonderfully cozy ambiance. The host was very personable and polite, and was a joy to converse with. The room had great personality, and each room has their own individual style. Our room had plenty of space to move around, and did not feel stuffy or confined. The bed was an incredibly comfortable four-poster. We will definitely mark this as a hotel to revisit whenever we are in the area.

Nice place to visit while in Bennington. Walking distance to downtown and a nice quiet neighborhood.
