Funchal Apt- Sleeps 2 - Pool & Garden - Madeira

Everything was spot on. The property is beautifully decorated, and super comfortable.. the pool and the garden upstairs are just wonderful. The host is very kind and gave us fantastic recommendations

We stayed at this charming granny flat in July and had a wonderful experience. The host lives in the house upstairs and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He shared many helpful recommendations. The apartment itself was very well equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen appliances to a washing machine. The flat is located up the hill outside of Funchal but this wasn't an issue for us as we had a rental car. For those without a car, there seem to be buses available, and we found that using Bolt taxis was an easy and affordable option to travel to and from Funchal.

One minor drawback was that the apartment tended to get a bit damp, and it was challenging to dry clothes and shower towels. The air circulation was limited since the front door was also the only window. This didn't significantly impact our overall positive experience though and we recommend this place for a pleasant stay in Madeira.

Very friendly and helpful host. Good transport links to Funchal. The room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped for everything you would need. Bed was king size and exceptionally comfortable.

We are frequent travellers and this is one of the best places we have stayed The apartment is spotlessly clean and equipped with high end fittings with use of a private pool upstairs and outside dining/relaxing area Nico the owner is around to help with anything you need and also leaving a lovely welcome pack in the apartment on arrival The apartment is above Funchal with stunning views over the city. It’s about a 25 minute walk down into the city however a cheap bus will take you in and bring you back with the stop right outside the apartment or taxis are plentiful if you prefer. The fully equipped kitchen gives you the option to dine in if you wish which we did on a few occasions with the supermarket being just down the hill. If you want a nice relaxing peaceful place to stay in Madeira then this is the place for you. We will certainly be back

The host was very kind, he even took us on a trip to the nunvalley which was lovely. He did not expect anything in return. The pool is lovely. The host was very considerate of our privacy but also suggesting many options for things to do. The walk towards the city centre is around 40 minutes downhill. We took a taxi back up.

This apartment is stunning, extremely clean, kitchen is beautiful and contains everything you need and more! The bed is king size and so very comfortable. This apartment is modern and full of little luxurious, like bedside device charging lamps, large wall mounted flat screen tv, coffee machine, washing machine and of course the very inviting pool and immaculate garden. Great location just a few minutes from Funchal. Our host Niko couldn't of done more, we arrived early and was warmly welcomed. He provided us with lots of tips, help and information to make our stay on the island incredible. Very kind and friendly person. Thank you so much Niko, we look forward to seeing you again soon.

The property owner was a wonderful host being very kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The property was very clean and well equipped. It was lovely to have access to the garden which is also beautifully maintained. We had a wonderful time in particular using the local bus routes around the area. Would thoroughly recommend this property.

Very comfortable and complete furnished appartment. We appreciated the double bed, the nice kitchen for cooking and the good bathroom. Niko is a very nice host and makes you feel at home. You can enjoy the garden and use the swimming pool any time you like. We rented a car to see the island during our stay. There is a bus nearby as well.

Appartment is situated at a steep road with some traffic going by during the day.

Great location - outside the main hub-bub of Funchal but still easy to find and get to. Brilliant views from the garden (which is shared with the owner Niko but is always accessible and lovely to sit in and enjoy the sun) and a 10 min drive into Funchal and literally 3 mins from Via Rapida 1 which gets you pretty much everywhere on the island swiftly. As for the apartment, its great. Very well equipped, modern and comfortable. Niko has thought of pretty much everything and we had a really lovely stay. The bed is massive - and memory foam so very comfy - and the bathroom ultra modern. WiFi brilliant (bring your Netflix or Amazon log in with you) and if you have a car, Niko lets you use his cavernous underground garage. In essence, couldn't have asked for more so many thanks Niko - you are a brilliant host and it was a delight to meet you.

The accommodation was exceptional. Very well appointed, spacious and immaculately maintained. a welcome basket was provided. Location was ideal with bus right outside that went into downtown Funchal. Supermarkets and restaurants close by, some in walking distance. There was parking available. A beautiful pool and garden area. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend this accommodation to travelers visiting Madeira.
